Ink Something Crafty

Just one more Easter card for this year!  This card features the Layering Crosses Dies and Lily Dies , along with the Easter Greetings (rubber stamp set).  I think adding the gold cardstock is especially fitting for a "He is Risen!" card, although I gotta say that this is not my favorite type of gold c.s. but was all I had at the time.  I have since found a beautiful pack at Michael's (thanks to my teammie, Michelle!) that has more toned down gold, lavender, green, blue and pink, but it is not this brassy and is much thicker, it really is pretty!  I will have some samples using it coming up in April -- LOTS of card inspo for next month!!   Back to today's card...  I also used the  Heavenly Skies paper pad with this Sunburst Background die  which I think is perfect for drawing your eye to the cross.  (I know I went a li'l crazy with my dotting on the lily... luckily I went with a light color instead of black, lol.)   Easter is still a few weeks away but if you nee

Happy Sunday crafters.  How pretty are these papers?!  I have made this style of card before, however this time I used the Book Fold Pop Out with Layers die  from Divinity Designs that cuts and scores the inside piece AND it cuts all the layering panels too!  And all the pieces are embossed after cutting which gives a very finished and professional look to them.  The best part is not having to measure, cut and score on my paper trimmer!   The stamps are from a set called Lamb of God, and the cross is a die set called Cross Layering Dies .   This is the front of my card.  I used the Easter Words Stamp/Die Duo and Bitty Blossoms .  The paper is from the Spring Flowers 2 paper pack and is so pretty that really it doesn't take much else to make a beautiful card.   DIVINITY DESIGNS PRODUCTS USED: Lamb of God Rubber Stamp Set Easter Words Stamp/Die Duo Book Fold Pop Out with Layers Die Layering Crosses Dies  Scalloped Rectangle Dies  Rectangles Die   A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer

John 14:6  " Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. It's time to reveal the March Club Kit from Club La-La Land Crafts!!  It's SUPER HERO themed - and for the first time ever in Club LLLLC history, you will get a Marci AND a Luka rubber stamp along with the fabby dies!  I've created 2 cards using each of the characters for some heroic birthday celebrations ☺ For my first card, I used the brick stencil from On the Wall Layering Stencils and sponged white craft ink for some contrast on the red layer.  SuPeR HeRoS are the perfect opportunity to have fun with their hair colors too!  I made Hero Marci into a fiery hot red-head.  And I gotta say... these DIES in this kit really make the card - it's so easy that not much else needs added!   ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS: On the Wall Layering Stencil COPIC COLORS: Skin:  E00, 000, 13, 21, R20, 21, 00 Hair/Cape:  R22, 35, 46, 59 Shirt/Boots:  Y11, 21, 23, 19 Skirt:  W2, 3, 5, 7 and here's my SuPeR Hero Luka card... Hello my crafting friends!  I have some more Easter inspiration for you today featuring stamps and dies from Divinity Designs.  I wasn't sure if this would feel like there was too much going on with the lacey background and the lilies... and I couldn't decide on a more subdued white background instead of the pink... but in the end, I went with the pink and I really like how this turned out.   HOW I DID IT: Using my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine, I die-cut the Lacey Corners (A2 size) from white cardstock and embossed it by running it back thru machine with the tan embossing mat and blue plate.  On X-Press It white cardstock, I stamped the standing Lamb first in Memento Tuxedo Black ink then masked it and stamped the 2nd Lamb.  I then masked it too and applied distress oxide ink in pink and green using Blending Brushes .  I colored the lambs with Copic markers.  Then I die-cut it using the Vintage Labels from the Vintage Label Flip Fold Die and embossed it.  I then cut a larg

Happy Saturday crafters!  I hope you're able to fit in some crafty time this weekend.  I have a fun new die from Divinity Designs called the Twist & Pop with Layers Die.   I'm sure you've all seen this type of card as it's been around for some time, but this is my very first time trying it!  I LOVE that you can find many of your favorite card folds in a die set - you should go check them out HERE .  Here is the front of my card - it's a regular A2 size when folded.  The WOW factor is on the inside so keep scrolling! Hello friends!  I have a cute card to put a SMILE on your face ☺  The colors in this paper is just happy ... and white daisies are my faves, so I'm a li'l partial!  Anywho, I had some fun with these Egg Layering Combo Dies from Divinity Designs by Kelley Holland .  There are really pretty - there are 5 different dies that you can mix-n-match in a number of combinations, or layer them ALL for an exquisite ornate look as I've done here. I also colored up this cute image from the Bunny Kisses rubber stamp set . If you look closely, you'll see that I embossed my card layers with the dies - it's a special feature of the Divinity Designs dies and I love that added detail.   This Feb/March release is huge and there's something for everyone, from cutesy like these bunnies, and lambs to crosses and Christian sentiments.  I hope my cards have inspired someone?  Please drop me a comment if I have.  I'd love to hear from you! Hello friends!  I had a few people message me yesterday about my magical rain shaker card and it turns out I did take pics along the way to do a tutorial last month, but then I changed my mind and did my tutorial on another card instead.  But since I have the pics and some inquiries, I thought I'd go ahead and do up this tutorial for you.  *Note:  this is a photo-heavy post! SUPPLIES: • February 2022 Club La-La Land Crafts kit • a 5" x 7" white card base   -  (cut 10" x 7" and score the 10" side at 5") • a 4-1/2" x 7-3/4" white cardstock for ink blending • Green cardstock for lily pad and leaves • White cardstock for stamped images • Distress Oxide inks (optional, but makes your colorful background look rained on!) • Water mister or paint brush • Invisible Thread (I got mine in the jewelry isle at JoAnne's) • Seed Beads (clear AB in size 10, or 8) • 1/2" Double sided foam tape • 1/8" Foam strips (or you can cut your foam tape

Hello - another Easter card for your inspiration today ☺  This uses the new Cross Layering Combo 2 Die set from Divinity Designs.  There are 5 dies that you can layer altogether with various colors like I've done here, or you can layer just 1 & 3, or 2, 4 & 5 etc.  the combinations are endless ... no they're not actually, I know there is a specific maximum # of combos (ask my daughter, she's the math professor!) but I'm not smart enough to figure that one out quickly LOL!  This paper is from the slimline Heavenly Skies paper pack and has some pretty pinks and peach sunburst skies in it, so I paired this cross with the Lacey Corners Die in peach.  I am having a difficult time crafting today.  It's overwhelming sadness, anger, maybe a li'l fear about what's going on with Russia and Ukraine.  Listening to the news, it sounds like it wouldn't take much for this to turn into a WW3, esp. if they install the No Fly Zone.  Pretty scary stuff.  As C

Easter is just around the corner and I've made another fancy fold card.  For this one, I used the Stair Step Pop Out with Layers Die set from Divinity Designs along with this gorgeous paper from the Spring Flowers 2 slimline paper pack and the Lamb of God rubber stamp set.    I've made this style of card before ( see here ) however, it was a royal pain to measure and cut and figure out the side pieces before.  This time I used the card fold die (that I purchased from Divinity Designs) that cut out all the pieces for me including the inside stairs part and it made putting this card together a DREAM compared to figuring it all out on my own.  Here's the inside...
