Darling Blondie on Accordian Medallion

Image
Happy Wednesday!!  I have another card made with the Darling Marci digi from La-La Land Crafts.  I just love her cute li'l pose.  I tried one of the circle flowers/medallions that I've been seeing, but totally just guessed at how to do it and I think my pleats are a li'l big.  I scored them at 1/2" so it does stick up quite a bit.  This paper is from the Cosmo Cricket "Circa" pad... a bit vintagey and I love it!  Be sure to hop on over to our LaLa Land Blog to see daily creations by our Design Team!!  You can also enter your creations in the Customer Gallery and be entered to WIN free stamps!  =)

Wishing You the Very Best this Year

Happy Tuesday!!  This week's Going Grey challenge at Scrap-Creations is... NEW YEAR'S!   I used this brand new digi from La-La Land Craft's called " Darling Marci "... isn't she the cutest?!  You can use her for so many occasions.  You can read more about how to get her HERE .  I'm not sure what this paper is from, I'm thinking it's Memory Box?  I was gifted several loose pages so I'm not certain where it's from.  The  burnt-edge wooden scrolly embellishment  is from McMahon Five Designs and was perfect for sitting her on... although a clock would have been nice too.  The Prima roses are also from M5D, and the sentiment is from Doodle Pantry .    Remember for our challenge you can use any vendor's images/papers etc., so I hope you'll come play along with us at Scrap-Creations this week!

Christmas Gift Set

Doodle Pantry Challenge #4 :   Something NEW (can be a new technqiue, new digi or crafting supplies, or a New Year's theme) Merry Christmas Eve!!   Well, I have to admit this week kinda threw me for a loop, being sick and missing work, ( and then working overtime to make up for it before my break ) and missing most of my DT postings, and I even had some Christmas cards for friends filled out and ready to mail but didn't get to the post office ( or even down my long driveway to put them in the box !)... *Note to self:  Start on Christmas MUCH EARLIER than the week or two before Christmas!!   But Christmas comes but once a year and I simply had to get some things done for it, like this gift set I made for my boss and his wife.  I posted a tutorial on how to  " Digi Stamp on Candles " in my yesterday post.    For this set, I used the cute singing birds and sentiment from the " Winter Song Birdies " digi set from Doodle Pantry.   Their  4th challenge is up!

Tutorial - Digi Stamping on Candles

Image
Tis the season for gift giving, and as usual, I found myself in need of a quick but thoughtful gift so I decided to TRY stamping on candles for the first time. Not only that... but to stamp on "fake" candles  (the flameless battery-operated kind) ... and not only that, but to use digis instead of rubber stamps ( because I didn't have "just the right" image in the right size ). Much to my surprise... IT WORKS!! It's very much the same technique as traditional stamping on candles,  using tissue paper (the kind you put in gift bags ).   First of all, the candle I used here came in a pack of 3, varrying sizes of flameless candles .  Even though they are battery-operated, they are still made of wax and works the same way as a real candle!   1)  You'll want to resize your digi to fit the size candle you're using, and print that digi half way down the page on a sheet of regular copy paper.  Then cut a piece of tissue paper ( a little bit larger than y

SuPeR MaRCi and SuPeR DoG TuFFy

Hello!  Are you having a SuPeR day so far??  It's my day to post for La-La Land Crafts and Super Cupcake Marci was whispering "Sweet cupcakes" in my ear!  Lol.  So I inked her up and her SuPeR dog Tuffy too!  He's not much help though as he keeps eating the cupcakes, so I had to put them up high out of reach!  ;)  I just have to say, I LOVE these stamps!  They are so fun to color and really fun to give for kids' birthdays (and even adults love em!)  Irina and Eric Berry have really done a fabulous job on this new line and I can't wait to see what's coming next!!!  =)  Did you hear the news??  ALL these Marci and Luka stamps are now available as digis or rubber!!  You can buy the digis on the blog  and the rubber stamps in the store .  =)   EDITED TO ADD: For the doggy's cape, I just shrunk the digi of cucake Marci and then printed it onto the DP (taped a piece of Designer paper to a piece of typing paper and ran through my printer) then cut it

Today's card features the adorable dog named TUFFY !  He comes in a set of rubber stamps with 4 Tuffys and also comes with some fun sentiments and playful toys!  I dressed him up in a santa hat (not part of the set) for the holidays.  Have you ever tried putting a santa hat on your real dog?  I have and it never stays!  We tried some on our cats one year---that didn't work well either, LOL!  But Tuffy proudly wears this cute hat with pride.   Hope you have a woderful Wednesday!!  What will you ink?!

Christmas Lantern Gift Box

Image
Hello!  Today starts a new challenge at Scrap-Creations Challenge Blog !  Kristen wants to see us get creative this week and make a Christmas gift or a gift holder .   I chose to make another Lantern/Gift Box, much like my LOC birdhouse box .  You can find a picture tutorial for these HERE .  I added a Flameless, battery-operated candle inside, but you can also use it to put small gifts in too =o) I used the new Holiday Sheep digi set by Doodle Pantry .      My Lantern / Gift Box ( the box attached under the lid helps keep the lid in place ) I used liquid applique on the sheep to make 'em fluffy, and "faux snow". Hope your Tuesday's Terrific!  Now go INK SOMETHING !  *Ü*

Happy December!!  Can you believe it's the first of December already??  Only 24 more days til Christmas.  Although the true spirit of Christmas can last all year.  Did you hear the great news??  All these cute Luka and Marci stamps have gone DIGI!!  How cool is that?!  Here's a card I made using " Formal Luka "  ... isn't he handsome in his Fall suit?  Papers are from one of my Key Ingredients kits (I think October issue).   That's all I have for today.  I have a neat project in the works, but am not quite done with it.  Will share when I do!  Hope you have a fun crafty kind of day... and while you're at it, but sure to hop over to LLLC blog check out what the rest of the DT has been creating this week!  Don't forget our CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY!!  Enter your LaLa cards in our customer gallery for a chance to win some stamps!!

Santa Marci is Super Cute!

Image
Today's card features the ever-so-cute Santa Marci ... is she not the sweetest? My card measures 6x6" square I added some faux Flower Soft to all her white trim by rubbing 2 Styrofoam balls together!  It's white with a sparkly element in it and works great!  It's also way cheaper as I bought a package of 4 balls at the $1 Store, and I've used not even half of 2 balls so far and have used it on at least half a dozen cards.  You could WIN some of these cuties (in rubber) on Irina's blog right now.  She's giving away the newest release, Fancy Marci and Formal Luka.  So be sure to head on over there as well (Ends December 3rd)!!   *Ü*  Have a blessed & crafty weekend!!

Doodle Pantry Challenge 2 {Foliage}

Image
Hi again!  This is my 2nd post for today.  I recently came across Doodle Pantry and fell in love with Laurie's fun and beautiful digis!!  They just started having card challenges and so I wanted to get in on this one and use some of the new digis I purchased.  This set is called " Winter Song Birdies "... I just love her birdies... well pretty much all birds in general as I collect real birdhouses and hubby likes to get me a (stuffed animal) bird here or there.  Anyway, Doodle Pantry has a whole collection of them... even a super cute FREEBIE ... as well as some accessories like Santa hats for them!  The challenge this week is to use Foliage :  either in your digi, paper, or use of punches!  My sister Kathy and I decided to do one of our 45-minute "sister challenges" for this last night.  Well... we only got half way done before we both had other obligations to tend to (family needed fed, etc.) LOL.  But we did finish and I was able to work foliage in 2 w

Caroling Luka and a New Sketch

Image
Happy Day before Thanksgiving!!   I have several things to show you today.  First of all, didja notice my new blog header?  *Ü*  I know it's a little early for Christmas, but I LOVE the holiday and I want to make it last longer LOL.  In fact, we started playing Christmas music at work about a week ago!  Too early?  Not for this Holiday-lover.    The li'l caroler in my header is Caroling Luka !   Isn't he cute?  The papers, ribbon and chipboard elements on my card were all a gift from the lovely Irina last year... thanks again Irina!!  =) I also have a new sketch to share... Carly's whipped up this one and posted over at Sketches by Carly this week.  I used it for today's card.  No sponsor this week... but she continues to provide us with awesome sketches to play with!  *Ü* There's lots more inspiration over at the La-La Land Crafts Blog ... a new creation is posted each and every day!  Go check it out if you haven't yet this week *Ü* ON A SIDE NOTE:

Tunnel Fold Card with Caroling Luka

Image
Challenge:   Blue and Silver I've made another Tunnel Card using the newly released stamp, Caroling Luka from LaLa Land Crafts for this week's "Blue & Silver" challenge at GGWSC .  I stamped the music note bg stamp (SU!) onto metalic silver cardstock for the side pieces, and I attached Luka on a strip of acetate and glued one end behind the right blue panel and left the Left side loose so he can slide back and forth when opening and closing the card.  I'll be back tomorrow with another card from La-La Land!  *Ü*

Shabby Chic ~ I Think??

Image
Hi there.  It's Wednesday and that means it's my day to post on the LaLa Land Crafts Design Team Blog *Ü*  This card ended up totally different than it started out.  I had other papers -- with some pink and light red and my shading wasn't turning out so I kept making it darker.  Ever have one of those days?  Then I didn't want to chuck it in the trash so I kept adding color over color and so I changed my DP to darker colors.    Then there was no white in the dp and my image was so stark white so I started in with the sponging, LOL.  I think I didn't know when to stop!!  Oh well...  I think I like the outcome.  These new stamps, Fancy Marci and Formal Luka are still available for a limited time only as digis  so go check out all the gorgeous samples on the DT blog while you're there.  These adorable stamps have totally captured my heart and I know they will yours as well.  =)  Card Deets : Stamps:   Fancy Marci (digi, LaLa Land Crafts) Paper:   Key Ingred

Dad, You're Timeless!

Happy Sunday bloggy friends!!   My card today showcases the brand new " Formal Luka" from LaLa Land Crafts.  Also released with him is Fancy Marci ... sooo CUTE!  These 2 images are available as DIGIS for a limited time on the LaLa Land Craft's Blog ! So... yesterday my sister Kathy and I challenged each other to use these new digis ... I was to use Luka and she is using Marci (and it's sooo cute so be sure to hop over to Kathy's blog ) ... AND we both used  Carly's newest sketch as well, which is sponsored this week and closes on Thursday, Nov. 18th, so go check it out if you'd like! ☺ I admit that I don't make masculine cards very often at all.  I had 2 daughters and no boys--even when I make my hubby a card it tends to be slightly feminine  ;)  But when I thought about what to do for this card, I thought of using my real wood paper from McMahon Five Designs .  ( I used Teak Wood and Walnut ).  It's so rustic and perfect for male cards.

Tuffy's Dog House

Image
It's Wednesday which means it's time for me to share a card from LaLa Land *Ü*  I was thinking that Marci & Luka's cute dog, Tuffy was craving some attention too, so I made this cute dog house card using the Tuffy set .  You get 4 different Tuffy stamps plus several sentiments and some toy accessories... all for one great price!  My sketch is from this week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday, ( which I just now realized I'm prolly a week late as it's WEDNESDAY so they have a new sketch today---Ooops !)  and I used some new DP from "My Mind's Eye" that my sister Kathy sent me... THANKS KATHY!!  (It's full of polka-dotty papers--love em!) and I made his dog house out of some awesome wood paper from McMahon Five Designs. Just a reminder that the DT and Guest DT post daily at the LaLa Land Blog and there's TONS of gorgeous samples of Marci and Luka from the newest collections to drool over *Ü*  Go check em out!!  And if you enter your LaLa cr

I knew the challenge and it's like it went in one ear and out the other.  Kinda like my kids!  =)  Had lots of fun coloring this one up.  Although I have to admit... as much as i love Fall and Thanksgiving, I'm really getting in the mood for Christmas and snow!  LOL.  I love playing in it with my kids on "no-school-snow-days" and decorating with all my snowmen stuff.   OO

Happy Sunday crafters!  Yup... my 3rd tissue box cover this week!  LOL.  Can't have too many ya know!  Actually, my sister Kathy has been wanting to try one and so we made it our "sister challenge" for this week.     This Christmas carousel horse was a free digi over at Beccy's Place.  I added clear sparkly gellyroll pen to the pole and jingle bells on the bridle, saddle and his feet wraps.  It's hard to get a good picture of the sparkle.  Ü  and here's the other horse on opposite side of box  Have a lovely Sunday and a SAFE and FUN Halloween!!
