Reindeer Waltz Pop Up Box

Image
Happy Saturday!   Are you tired of seeing my Multi-Tiered Pop-Up Box Cards yet?  😉  I can't help it.  Ok, I digress, this one I made purely for the purpose of creating a photo tutorial of my penguin card, but I  thought the white (snow) layers might make it too difficult to see the card folds etc.  I used the same gorgeous dsp from Stampin' Up! called Whimsy & Wonder.   I seriously am going to have to buy a couple more packs of this one.  It has holographic pieces all throughout this pack and just so pretty IRL!   You can download my PDF tutorial on this card HERE . One of the ornaments on this paper has a reindeer face on it, which reminded me of an older set I have called " Reindeer Waltz " clear art stamps from when I designed for Layers of Color (are no longer in business) .   I thought they would go nicely with these trees from SU!'s Perfectly Plaid stamp set & punch. The Stitched Snowdrift layers were created using dies from My Favorite Things.

Multi-Tiered Pop Up Penguins

Image
Welcome friends!  I had a great time last night on a Zoom call with my SU! upline and 8 others in her downline group - so fun to "meet" them and put faces to names and craft together - for 3 hours!  :)  We all worked on our own projects and they were so diverse, love it!   For my zoom project, I created a multi-tiered pop up box card --- no surprise there, right guys?!  BUT, this one was on a much larger scale and needs a 6 1/8" square envelope, which I had to make myself, but with the help of my nifty envelope punch board , it was pretty easy... PRETTY being the operative word as I used some the same Whimsy & Wonder dsp from SU! as I used on my card!   I will include the measurements for making this card below my photos, so keep scrolling :)  The Whimsy & Wonder dsp has holographic striped paper that I used on the sides of my box.   These cute penguins and matching punch are bundled in the new Holiday Catalog, July - Dec. 2021, and so is the Whimsy & Wond

Slimline Feeling Fall

Image
Hi friends!  I'm sharing my 3rd ever slimline card today, this time featuring the Sweater Weather on Safari stamps/dies for the August Slimline Challenge and this week's sketch challenge at My Favorite Things ! I started with a white slimline 110 lb. heavy white cardstock.  Then I cut a rectangle mask out of copy paper and taped it over the base using Post-It tape (low-tack tape).  I then sponged on grass on lower third then yellow, orange, and just a tad bit of pink passion at the top using blending brushes.  Then I removed the mask and added some grass that I die-cut using Slimline Grassy Hills dies and taped them on.  The tree (isn't is pretty?!) is from LaLa Land Crafts several years ago when I was a Design Team member, so not sure if it's still available or not. I then stamped the sentiment and coffee beans onto the bg and grass.  And lastly, I stamped, colored with Copics, and die-cut the safari animals.  The tiger and elephant are glued flat to b.g., and the z

Hello Beautiful

Today's card is a Fall-inspired pop up box card that I created as a pick-me-up after a long week.  Let's just say the last 10 years of digital memories and family cookbook, my store's digital art files and more... gone!  Very heartbreaking.  Luckily, with the help of my creative projects team, I got most, if not all, of my art files back.  Huge thanks to Deanne and Helen ♥   So I had a play with my new Box Card Bouquet dies and some Rainbow Glimmer paper and made this collapsible pop up card and it cheered me up a bit!  The rainbow glimmer paper I used for the front stitched label, the "hello beautiful", the side layers and the stitched piece in back of the flowers are from Stampin' Up! and it's pretty thick, but so so pretty when the light hits it!   Nothing is inked with this card - it's all die cutting with MFT Die-namics!  (A complete list of supplies used are at the end of this post.)  Thank you for looking today.  If you have used a great d

In the Plaid Woods

Today's card is one I made a week or 2 ago and forgot to post it here.  It was another sister throwdown challenge which was to use the Perfectly Plaid set (by Stampin' Up!) ) with Fall colors.  Only after I finished my card did I realize that I hadn't actually used the stamp set at all! 🤣  I HAD inked up a stamp or 2 from the set but they didn't end up in my card.  I DID however use the tree punch that came in the bundle.   Even this stamp set is Christmas themed, with the Fall colors I decided to make it into a birthday card, possibly for a guy.   •  The Plaid Tidings papers were cut into rectangles and glued side-by-side onto the Peacock layer.  •  I cut trees out of the Crumb Cake c.s. and ran the negative strip  through with a herringbone embossing folder and popped it up over the plaid rectangles with dimensionals.   •  I ran twine thru buttons and adhered with glue dots. •  Happy Birthday was white embossed onto that pretty rainbow glitter cardstock and popped

Sweater Weather Safari Birthday

Yes, we're still enjoying shorts weather here in Oregon with temps in high 90's, but to be honest, I am always excited for the nice cooler air that Fall brings and I'm sure I have someone's birthday to celebrate this Fall.  Today's card features these cute critters by Birdie Brown called " Sweater Weather on Safari "  I actually thought I had purchased the sister set,  Sweater Weather in the Woods - but this set is cute as well - y'all prolly know by now that I ♥ all my BB sets from My Favorite Things (although the other one would have gone better with the woodsy theme of my card! LOL!) The white birch trees in the back were part of a Paper Pumpkin kit from SU! - October 2019 In The Woods to be exact.  I thought they'd go nicely over the snowy bg on the mossy meadow c.s. from the new Whimsy & Wonder dsp in their holiday mini catalog. MFT's OTB challenge this month is BIRTHDAY themed MFT's day 5 of Camp Create is DIE-CUTS themed

Aug DOTM - Pretty Calf

It's the first of the month which means a new Digi-of-the-Month Challenge is live over at the Imagine That Digistamp Blog !  I drew this month's digi for my daughter's 21st birthday.  She is crazy about cute cows... especially the Highland calves!    I know for some it's a phase, but she grew up right next door to a cattle ranch (we're still here) and the cows come up to our backyard and the girls would sing to them, give them names and write their tag numbers etc.  They even got to bottle feed some babies.  She now wants to own some Highland cows - when she gets her own place of course, and graduates college, etc. etc.  SO... this cow's for you, daughter!   For the inside, I made a pop up - pop out piece!  The cake pops up, and the "21" pops out. There's even 21 candles stamped at the bottom! Everyone who played in our challenge last month got this whole set FREE ! If you did not, you can jump into our monthly challenge by purchasing " Prett
