Ballerina Shadowbox Card

Image
Both my girls have been in dance for years - they tapped and did ballet when they were younger, and Carly stuck with ballet and will be in Pointe class this year.  Maddy has been doing Hip Hop for 4 seasons and is also in Jazz.  Their recital is coming up in 2 weeks - will have to share some pics of them in costume later. With it being Dance Recital season, I came out with 2 new Digi Sets... " Ballerina " and " Tap Dancer ."   Here's a shadowbox card using the Ballerina (inspired by my dd, Carly) I printed the outline version but colored her in the same color scheme as my pre-colored version in the set... I guess I had these papers in mind when I sat down with Photoshop, lol.  But I do prefer using outlines and coloring up an image myself - I think it's fun to color and they also do better in photos.  I don't have a Tap Dancer project made... yet!  But Silvi (from my DT) has posted one today using Tap Dancer and Barb and Tania have also us

Two Valentine Pop Up Box Cards

Image
Happy Valentine's Day ♥ I just have to say that I have a very creative Design Team & Guest Designers at Imagine That! Digis by Kris *Ü*  Already this week, three of my teammies have created these fantabulous Pop Up Box Cards so I just had to try it myself.  Leave it to me to wait til the very last minute to make a valentine for my daughters!!  I literally finished these up before picking them up from school today. LOL.   My oldest daughter just loves turtles and frogs, and she suggested I draw this digi, " Turtley Love You " so of course I had to print this and use for her card.  She loved it.  Even better news!!  This actually folds down flat for mailing! *Ü*  Here it is closed all up.   And for my 2nd one, I used my newest digi set, " Puppy Love "  for my youngest daughter who loves our now 8 year old dog, Ginger (who I drew this digi after).  *Ü*  and here it is folded up flat Come by our Challenge & Inspi

Queen Anne's Lace

I made a card... this time a sympathy one in nature.  I was actually surprised how quickly and easily this card came together after not having made a hand-crafted one in a while.  But everything just kinda came together nicely and I'm pretty happy with it.   Today is New Release Day at my store, Imagine That! Digis by Kris  -  I released 9 digi sets and 4 digi paper packs.  For this release I tried my hand at some flowers.   (inside) I used  " Queen Anne's Lace " digi set and printed the outline on kraft cardstock.  Then colored with Prisma Colored Pencils.  The sentiment is part of a pack, "Sentimental Thoughts" and comes FREE with any of our 3 flower sets this month! Have a great week & Happy Crafting!!

Dutch Flower Braid

Image
Well i thought I was going to share a new hairstyle that I did on Carly this morning but it turns out I've already posted pics of this same style, except with more flowers.  Oh well, gonna post it again.  She got so many comments on this at school today, and it is so easy to do, even with very long hair.  Here's the link to the video tutorial Dutch Flower Braid .  The flowers in the middle just help hide the ends of the braid that are kinda folded and bobby-pinned in there ;)
