Origami Treat Box

Image
I tend to go in phases between making cards and making gift boxes or bags.  This is one I've made before, super simple origami fold box and then for the "cover" you can use any lightweight board like a cereal box!  You can find instructions on SplitcoastStampers here .  I used a Stampin' Up! stamp, dies and paper set called " Lovely Lily Pad " - it was a free SAB set that you could get during Sale-a-Bration earlier this year.  I stamped in versamark ink and heat embossed in white e.p. onto Flirty Flamingo cardstock and highlighted with Wink of Stella pen. My ribbon is actually not as orange as the picture makes it, IRL it's more coraly-pink.   You can decorate the inside top lid if you wish.   It's a really good sized box - would also be great for storing stamped images or extra die-cuts... or li'l gifts like wrapped candies, tea-light candles etc!

Tutorial - Origami 4-Drawer Easel Card

Image
Happy Sunday crafty friends!  I was asked for instructions after posting pictures of this box card on a FB group, so here it is!   While I am not the original creator of the 4-drawer easel card that were all the rage 10 years ago, I thought of a way to create the drawers from designer paper ,  when others were creating it using cardstock.  Some had dies that cut the drawers and others were clever enough to come up with the correct measurements to cut and score and tape, but I couldn't wait to find what I was looking for so I just made a simple origami fold box for the drawers and wha-la!  It worked ... and is prettier than plain cardstock IMO.  :)   So I'm here to share it with y'all again, this time using Stampin' Up!'s Ornate Garden Suite (stamps, dies and paper!)   Supplies Needed: - (4) 6-inch pieces of designer series paper - (2) 4 ¾” coordinating designer paper (or can use same   as 6” pcs.) - (3) 8 ½ x 11” sheets of cardstock – can be same or different color

Origami 4-Drawer Easel Card

Today I decided to dig out an old tutorial I did ten years ago and recreate it with the new Stampin' Up! Ornate Garden Suite .  This is SO EASY, literally anyone who can fold a piece of paper in half can make this!   **update - I'll be posting an updated tutorial for this soon!   The drawers pull all the way out.  You can add things like small craft items ... or candy!  Or I'm sure a dozen other things.  One drawer can hold 9 of the hershey kisses, just to give you an idea.  :)   ♥  ♥  ♥ Stamps:  Stampin' Up! Stampin' Up! July 2020 Free Card Kits

Image
Getting caught up on some previous card kits sent to me by my SU! upline, Joanne.  You can get them too if you are a customer, her downline, or her Paper Pumpkin subscriber! You get the basics:  card base, all the layers cut and embossed, you just have to come up with the stamps and ink!  So this first one I used a retired set from last year, " Pretty Pavilion " stamp and dies to create a birthday card.   This 2nd card uses " Lovely Lily Pad ", and the sentiment is from the July 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit " On My Mind ".   The Coastal Cabana doily, gems and ribbon are gifts from Joanne as well!  She's very generous and I love watching her videos and receiving happy mail each month.  Thanks Joanne Maddi!!
