La-La Weekly Wednesday Challenge

Image
Howdy Pardners! It's time for another fun challenge at La-La Land Crafts today! But first, I'd like to introduce you to none other than... COWGIRL LALA! See how versatile these cute stamps can be? I used Sitting LaLa and drew some boots and a hat to make her into a cowgirl! Scroll down a little bit to see her upclose and to give your eyes a bit of a break! LOL - I realize this is a TON of green, but my li'l cowgirl loves lime green so this page for her. Our challenge hostess this week is Maureen Wong and she'd like us to alter a store-boughten embellishment! There's examples over on our DT Blog if you're as stumped as I was, LOL! But I decided to take my natural hemp twine and make it into a flower ( using glue dots along the way to secure the loops on back ). My page kinda reminds me of a kids hide-n-seek puzzle... find the flower !! LOL. For her hat I traced the "tiara" with clear stickles, but for some reason it's picking up all the surro

Polka-Dot Love from Layers of Color

Image
Hello crafting friends!  Today's card features a cute flower set from  Layers of Color called Polka Dot Love for the 2 types of flowers here. This set comes with lots of flowers and centers and leaves to mix n match! The sentiment was a free digi from Express Yourself. The pink intricate squares are the middle die from the Pendant Nestabilities. I saw this idea on Yvonne's blog here . She does amazing things with Spellbinders Nesties--I get so much inspiration from her lovely work. Thanks for looking :)  Hope you are inspired to 'Ink Something'!

Chalking It Up with Layers of Color

Image
My card today used 3 sets from Layers of Color: Fruitful Harvest , Backyard Birds , Her Majesty's Urns , in which I stamped them all in VersaMark and chalked the color on . I love this look so much as opposed to my first try in which I stamped them in black. The sponging around the edge goes nicely with the soft look of the chalked images. This card went to my friend (and LOC boss) Laura for her 50th Birthday, so it had to be special. I hope I achieved that? The verse is about prayer: "I thank my God upon every remembrance of You." Philippians 1:3. Here are some close-ups. Thanks for looking!  Happy Inking :)

The Greeting Farm's Royal Battle #2

Image
Ok y'all... this is week 2 of The Greeting Farm's Royal Battle between teams and this week it is MY turn to make a card for our team and WE NEED YOUR VOTES to get through to the next round! If you like my card, please go HERE to the gallery and look for my card below and leave a comment (which will count as a vote!) Our Team name is the CARD SPROUTS *Ü* The challenge was to create an easel card... My faves in case you haven't noticed !  I used The Greeting Farm's digi, " Ivy Morning " and I actually printed it twice... once on white c.s. and another on real wood paper! I pieced the shutters and planter box and then I also made 2 more planters for the front of the grass. I made the Arborvitaes with my branch punch. The flowers in all the planter boxes is flower soft. Here's an up close shot. Thanks for looking!  Happy Inking :)
