Tilda with Rose

Image
Please don't tell me you're tired of seeing Magnolias, because I'm on a roll and loving it, LOL. I just LOVE coloring these little kids!! This is Tilda with Rose . I was in the mood for some bright colors today, but I'm not sure...do you think I got it bright enough? LOL! The camera actually washed her dress out. The band on her arm is darker teal and there's more shading on the left corner of the dress, but you get the idea. The recipient will get the full effect, so that's good. Are you listening to me? Am I the perfectionist, or what?! Someone who doesn't stamp would never know or care. My husband always tell me "OH, no one's going to even notice!" and my reply, "But I WILL!!" :0) {giggle} But seriously, I really love this outlet of mine. It helps my day go better and I think I actually sleep better at night too after I've finished a card (that I like) ... and Now I can go about other stuff, like cooking dinner

Edwin's Skiing Again

Image
Yup...he just can't get enough of the white powder I'm tellin' ya! But isn't Skiing Edwin just adorable?!  I used a glue pen to add Dazzling Diamonds to the trees, and a 2-way glue pen to add DD to the snow on ground. The sentiment is from Curvy Verses (SU!), the trees from Lovely as a Tree (SU!) and Edwin Skiing (Magnolia) Thanks for stopping by ~ happy crafting!

Christmas Wreath

Image
Well, we enjoyed a very nice Christmas day over at my parents with my brother's family. My sister didn't come because of the icy roads. And now it's getting to be evening and we're back home...the kids are in the bedroom, plucking away on the new guitar and dad's napping in the recliner.  But I wanted to share the wreath I made for my mom and dad's front door. And here's my silly family, taken over at my parents' today.   Hope you're all enjoying/enjoyed your week and if you have plans for New Year's, hope they're happy ones...BE SAFE!! :) Love and Joy,

Stocking Stuffer Boxes for Mom-n-Dad

Image
Hello stampers! I made 2 more of these cute stocking "boxes" and this time for my mom and dad. My dad's ( shown below ) is regular sized, but my mom's is HUGE! It measures 9 1/4" x 7 1/4" so it can accomodate the beaded ornament I made for her. It's really hard to get a good picture with all my shadows and lighting in the room. A few details about her box: I added faux zigzag stitching on the toe & heel; crystals to the 3 flower centers ( near the toe ); white gel pen stitching all around stocking; scalloped the bottom of the cuff in choc. chip and crimped the pink layer, glued on buttons and hand-sewed the wire words to cuff; cuttlebugged the pink oval behind angel, added dazzling diamonds to her wings and dress trim and popped her up on thick dimensional tape. The stain ribbon matches perfectly and I went all the way around box with it to help with sturdiness. Here's a picture of the top and bottom of box. I had to cut a hole in the bottom so
