Merci Bouquet in Blues

Hello! Just poppin' in to share a thank you card I made with my beautiful new stamps I won from Layers of Color !!  I am in love with these stamps! Very different from my cutesy style cards, but I'm discovering there's a hidden elegance-lover inside me that's gradually coming out! LOL.  The wood frame and photo corners are cut out of the walnut paper from McMahon Five Designs , and so are the coffee pearls :) - loving all of that, especially with these papers and crocheted lace. Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a Terrfic Tuesday!! :)

Vintage Birthday for a Special Friend

Happy Friday!! It's also the day after Thanksgiving here, and in the spirit of giving thanks, I wanted to share a birthday card I made for a wonderful friend. She's celebrating a very *special* birthday this weekend (although I won't tell HOW special *wink*) . For her card, I used a newly released set, " Merci Bouqet " from Layers of Color, and added these coffee pearls . I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Stazon and colored with colored pencils. I also added some touches of clear sparkly gellyroll pen for pretty highlighting. Thanks for looking!  I hope you're inspired to go Ink Something :)

LLWWC12 - Die Cuts N' Punches

Happy Wednesday!! This is my 2nd post for today, so if you're looking for my Inky Impressions Ornament card, please see my post below. It's time for a fun LaLa Weekly Wednesday Challenge !! This week our hostess is Kathy and she wants us to use our Die Cuts and Punches!! You can use any stamps you want, but if you have La-Las, why not show them some love! You will have til Sunday night to enter to win this Building Snowman Maya stamp that I've used here!! I decided to make a SNOW GLOBE! Well, a card that looks like one anyway! =) This was so fun to make. I saw this tutorial over at SCS. I had to adjust my measurements since this image was too large for the measurements given. ( I believe I cut my circle 4.5" in diameter and they called for a 3.75") Aren't these some of the CUTEST winter stamps?!! Here's a sideview so you can see how I did the inside. It says, " There's no friend like a SNOW friend " which I printed from my computer. Come

Inky Challenge Wednesday

Embrace Life! Happy Wednesday!! We have a new challenge for this week over at Inky Impressions Challenges  -  NO Designer Paper... and ADD Stitching! =) I have to admit, it's a nice change to put the dp away and use my cuttlebug again! And since it's breast cancer awareness month, I used this LiLi's Awareness Ribbon , which by the way, A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation & also The American Diabetes Association.  I made this card for a special friend who is like a second mom to my girls. She is a breast cancer survivor of 9+ years. I found a poem by Suzy Toronto called, "It's Me Again... Only Better" that is about her battle with cancer and what it taught her. It's really good in case you want to Google it! =) I printed it for the inside of my card.   I also added crystal effects to the ribbon in the image to give it some 3D and make it stand out.  Hope you'll join us in this challenge!  Time to go

Mardi Gras Card & Ornament

Good Monday morning stampers!! As you can see I've been a busy bee... crafting this card, and this lovely Mardi Gras beaded ornament. It's actually been a few weeks since I made this and the recipient has already received it!  I've been making these beaded ornaments for the past several years for my mom and MIL for Christmases and birthdays, and this year I ordered a few extra kits to make and send to a few friends. This one was well received by my friend (& boss) Nicole. She had commented to me once about how gorgeous my ornaments were, and when I saw this new ornament kit it made me think of her--it's called "Mardi Gras" and has some of her favorite colors in it and I just thought she would love this. She IMed me that day and told me she was in tears earlier that day because "someone" had done something so special for her. Awwww, that made my day. I'm so glad you like it Nicole. OK, on to the card:   The name for this one inspired me to mak

Pastor Appreciation Month

Good Morning!!  I made a couple of cards this week for Pastor Appreciation month. Isn't this image of Jesus amazing?! I love the soft expression in his face and the slight tilt of his head... and then to stamp it up and see all the detail, LOVE IT! This set, " Jesus " is made by Our Daily Bread Designs. To make the frame, I used Label 2 Nestabilities to cut out this real Maple Wood paper from McMahon Five Designs (another one of our lovely sponsors!). I am loving this wood and it's so reasonable priced. I also bought these beautiful coffee pearls there too! Here's what I did with the inside of card. CARD RECIPE: Stamps: " Jesus" - Our Daily Bread Designs ; sentiment I printed onto DP with computer Paper: K & Company, "ancestry.com"; watercolor paper - ProArt, 140 lb.; Walnut wood paper , - McMahon Five Designs Embellishments: Coffee Pearls - McMahon Five Designs ; Nestabilities, Labels 2; Moroccan border punch - EK Success

It's a Slumber Party!

Hi y'all! My oldest daughter is turning 11 next weekend and asked to have a slumber party, so I thought this little Inky Impressions girl would be perfect for the invites! Although my hubby told me he thought maybe they'd be too young for a 5th grader... ya know what?    Her face LIT UP when I showed her the stamp that came in the mail!  She was sooo excited about this that she asked to stamp them up right away and she and her younger sister got right to work coloring 5 of these yesterday! LOL - I honestly wish I could have video taped her excitement. For those of you who know Carly, when she gets excited, she does this thing where she presses her hands to her face (usually her mouth) and shakes while making a humming noise! Well she kept stopping like every 20 seconds to do this little habit of hers. It was hilarious! Then she was humming a Christmas song the rest of the night! LOL! Nicole, if you're reading this, I'm sure you'll feel so proud that a l

Simon Says... Christmas Tilda!

...well okay, Simon didn't really say make a Christmas Tilda, heehee... but he DID say follow this sketch ! And I'm pretty sure Simon's telling me to retake this photo in daylight, cause it's hard to see that the red layer is embossed with the Swiss Dots folder and the snow and snowflakes are covered in Dazzling Diamonds! Very sparkly and pretty IRL. Don't worry Simon... I'll upload a better one soon! LOL For this card I used my favorite Magnolia stamp,  Tilda with Lamb . She was from the Easter Magnolia collection , but she's so versatile, like this baptism card I made for Kelly! But I have to say, I'm really loving her in these Christmas colors.  Happy Crafting!

A {Scooter} Picture Card

So, have any of you gotten your hands on these cute Inky Impressions stamps yet? If so, come play along in our challenge this week!! :) And if not, you can still hop on over to the challenge blog and see all the inspiration by some of our Design Members this week! Our challenge was a "recipe" challenge, which means we had to follow this recipe: 1 stamped image 1 sentiment 2 ribbons 3 embellies 3 layers I've been wanting to make a scrapbook page with this Spunky Scooter LiLi ever since I got her in the mail. My daughter got a skateboard for her birthday and we spent numerous days this summer at the school and park with it and her bike and skates too. However, the recipe challenge was throwing me off a little bit and I just couldn't make it work for a big 12x12 page that would fit our albums, so I made this picture card instead. M is sooo not the typical "girly-girl", more of a tom-boy, and has always liked primary colors as opposed to pinks and purples, so

Celebrating with You in Your Baptism

Happy Tuesday!! I have a very special card to share today. It's one that I made for a friend of mine who was baptized a couple weeks ago. This is a 6" square card... larger than I normally make, but I had the idea for this in my head for a couple days and had to make it larger to get everything on it the way I imagined. :) The sentiment I just printed on my computer. This is my all-time favorite Magnolia... " Tilda with Lamb " that I got from KL Stampin' N Scrappin' store months ago ( from the Easter collection ) but it's so versatile for various ocassions like baptism or even Christmas!! Stay tuned for some Christmasy ones! :) For the black frame, I used my plain oval Nestie, taped it onto black c.s. and then layed a larger scallop Nestie outside that and taped it down and then ran it through the cuttlebug to give me that frame, and then I used pop dots to attach it so it gives dimension. Tilda is also pop dotted to the front. The paper is a soft aqua

Let the Earth REJOICE!

Happy Sunday!!  I used a digi image from McMahon Five Designs for today's card.  I tried the technique of printing various sizes of flowers and layering them! LOVE how it turned out. My photos make the flowers look like all the same shade of dark pink, but there really is some lighter and darker shades on it. I printed on watercolor paper, heat set it with a heat gun and used my SU! markers to color. I used Pixie Pink, Pink Passion, and a little bit of Rose red near the centers. Then I pushed the ink around w/ a waterpen! My dark pink and red markers were almost completely run out so I really had to press it to the paper in blobs (rather than coloring with them) but the water pen helped spread it around.  I also added some dazzling diamonds on the edge. I also used my sewing machine--just loving the elegance that gives a card! :) I hope this inspires you to 'Ink Something'!  :)  Have a great day!

Birthdays are the BERRY Best!

Okay, these greens actually match perfect IRL... there's just something about the camera or the photo editing that makes her shirt look yellowy. Hmmm, LOL. I thought this sentiment would be so perfect with this Tilda with Strawberries stamp from the Lazy Days of Summer collection .  Thanks for looking!  Hope you are inspired to go 'Ink Something'!

You are Blossoming

Good Saturday morning!! I just got this cute new Tilda with Strawberries stamp ( from the Lazy Days of Summer Collection ) but to go with my theme I covered up the strawberries with Flower Soft and made this a "blossoming" card for my 10 yr. old daughter. She's proving to be such a beautiful person on the inside and I just felt like letting her know how proud I am of her. {inside} Thanks for stopping by today ~ I hope you are inspired to Ink Something!

Meet Shy Little Nickie

Nickie is a brand new character that was released recently at Inky Impressions !!  I inked her up and followed this week's Mojo Monday sketch! I dug out my old SU! color, Marvelous Magenta--LOVE that color, especially paired with black and teal! I also dry embossed the magenta with the argyle embossing folder. I had to kind of turn my image layer, but you can still see the sketch here.  I water-colored Nickie and add lots of stardust glitter gellyroll pens for highlights to her scarf, roses, bows, button on shoe and of course her eyeshadow. It really doesn't look like this IRL. I have a light magenta color down first and then the clear glitter pen over it. Here's a close up, although it's not exactly what it looks like IRL either!! LOL. The light is shining right on the glitter here. It's really much more subtle than this.  Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are inspired to " INK SOMETHING !"

Just Because...

I'd like to share this album I made a few weeks ago for Kelly, owner of KL Stampin' N Scrappin'. I've been on her design team since January this year and I've gotta say she is definitely one of the sweetest, most generous people I know. She's not just a boss, she's a treasured friend. I picked up this little chipboard flower album at Micheals one day and it kindof reminded me of her... maybe because she has sunflowers for her logo? LOL. So I thought it would be a neat idea to create an album of all her KLSNS Girls! Then, I thought it would be even MORE special if each of the girls could make up their own page and send to me and I could assemble it and send it off, however, I didn't have enough pages in the album and with the store being so far away, I couldn't just run down and pick up another (if they even had one!) SO, we did the next best thing. The girls each picked a favorite image they had from Kelly's store and colored it and then sent the

Happy Birthday Nicole!

Today's Inky Challenge Wednesday , and since this is Inky Mama's ( Nicole's ) birthday month, we are celebrating HER all month long! The challenge this week is simple... create a birthday themed card! So I used this LiLi's Birthday Cake stamp with my new Nesties (label 6 - love those).  I apologize for the bad picture... it was dark and it doesn't pick up all the glitter gellyroll pens I used on this :( I've also lost my glasses, is this blurry to you too?? LOL -Maybe I can get a better picture later in the sunlight. Anyway, Happy Birthday Nicole!!

I pick You Some Flowers

For today's card, I used this cute Tilda with bike from the Lazy Days of Summer collection. The notebook paper is actually a die-cut ... already made to look like nb paper and had the Doodles already on it. I made up my own poem to go with this Tilda, and it reads: "I picked you some flowers on my way to school, cause you're my favorite teacher...really very cool! If you'd rather have an apple, or some other kind of snack, Tomorrow I will see what I can sneak into my backpack!" I first printed the poem on copy paper, then after I got the right size, I taped the little die-cut right over the spot on the copy paper and ran it back through and it printed perfectly! =0) Get crafty.... go Ink Something!  :)

To My Hubby

I made my card for my DH [ darling husband ] because we sooo need a date w/o the kids soon! It's been months, seriously. I think he will like this card because I made it for him, and also because he will appreciate that I'm setting up a date night soon! :0) Thanks for popping by!  Happy crafting :)

My First Tri-Shutter Card Anya Style

I know these tri-shutter cards have been around for a while now, but this is actually my first one! I saw this one of  Maria's cards   and decided it was time for me to take that plunge and "Just Do IT!" lol. It looked a li'l intimidating to me at first, but really it's easier than it looks!  I decided to use this pretty  Porcelain paper   by Basic Grey.   I also learned how to make these really nifty paper flowers by watching  Beate's Youtube video ! (always wondered what her voice sounded like?! heehee... thanks so much Beate!) All the wording on the inside of card are rub-ons (SU! + other). This is going to a very dear friend of mine who will remain nameless until she receives it and if she decides to share it with the world ;P Wish I had all the time and supplies to make one of these for each and every one of you who come to visit me every day! I really am very thankful to all of you =0) Thanks so much for dropping by! Please feel free to leave a comment,

Casual Jeans Friday

Can't believe I'm so late in posting this card...it's almost bedtime! Well, today was kinda hectic here at the Breach farm... so I'm lucky to even get on the computer at all today, lol. SO... how many of you have "Casual Fridays" at work where you get to wear your favorite blue jeans? Well, LiLi is all ready for a party in her fashion jeans and sweater! This week's TLC was to create " Faux Denim " and this is my 2nd try (and this time turned out much better--it takes a li'l practice, heehee). So, I only made one 1/4 sheet of it and then wanted to paper piece her jeans out of my piece, so I cut out a smaller oval out of the middle of my denim c.s. and then just covered that up with a larger stamped oval!! Perfect!! :)   I also used this week's Color Challenge , which was brilliant blue, tango orange, and yellow. I think this also qualifies for Thursday's challenge which was to go "bright"...hmmm, do you think this is bright

Apple Berry Purse

Happy Thursday, stampers!! I have another cute file purse to share with you today! This time I used some fun and funky fruity paper ( it's actually thicker, more like cardstock but it still worked fine!) and added a scallop border, some little red bows and this Tilda with Bee from the Magnolia's Butterfly collection. As you can see, I covered up the bee with one of the juicy apples from the DP and pop-dotted it to her hand ☺ I also used some of these Basic Grey magnets to hold the flap closed. These little magnetic discs are so awesome!! They are really a strong magnet...although I would suggest using a glue dot on the sticky side after you peel off the little white sticker as their glue wasn't as strong as the magnetism and therefore wouldn't really hold to my c.s. SO, I just stuck one of my small glue dots on each half and worked beautifully! ☺ THANK YOU for all your awesome comments on my last post!! I can see these are a big hit!! ☺ I showed my mom how to make

Cute Little File Purse

Hey there! :) I just made my very first filing purse!! I saw this tutorial over on Maria's blog --you've got to go check out the four that she made--they're beautiful!   The possibilities are endless. And look what image I used... this is Angelica's Heart Socks -- perfect sitting there holding her little *purse* ;) I used these little magnets ( that my friend Kelly sent me ) for the closure except I didn't realize until after I stuck them on with glue dots that those little white "+" and "-" stickers were actually suppose to be removed to reveal the sticky part! Oh well :) These are fun. I think I'll definately be making more of these with some various (maybe brighter, funner) designer papers.  Hey Kathy...wanna make one while you're here this weekend? ☺ *EDITED TO ADD:  Maria evidentally removed her tutorial from her blog, so here is my most recent one HERE .
