Pop-Up Stage Card and a New Way to Use Your Club Kit Dies

Image
Happy Sunday crafters!  I dug into my blog archives (fancy folds to be exact!) and found a couple of stage cards I made 11 years ago... but as they say, everything comes around again, wait, that's fashion!  LOL.  But seriously... I think this stage card has a wow factor and I was excited to make one again... this time in traditional Christmas colors! Before we we get to my card, I just want to tell you 'bout the awesome 25% OFF sale at La-La Land Crafts !  Go check it out, it's a great deal!!   Okay, here's my card... For this card, I used November's Club Kit (Remember, Nov. 30th is the last day to subscribe to get this awesome stamp & die kit! After that, it will be another 6 - 12 months before you can get them individually in their shop!) ... AND I wanted to show you how you can get more out of your dies! I die cut the pinecone several times out of white cardstock, to give me even more multiple layers for creating a Christmas Tree! (or is it a Christmas

Tunnel Spinner Card

Image
Hello and welcome back!  I do want to say that I will try to switch things up with different brands of stamps/dies from time to time, but I must admit... I'm on a La-La Land roll here lately!  Although, if my project inspires you... the sky's the limit with any stamps or dies!    ***Pst there's a 25% off coupon at the end of this post*** This card was created for my daughter, who's a college student in Salt Lake City, but on the side is taking ice skating lessons and getting quite good at the spins and turns!  So I used Figure Skater Marci digi stamp for this card. I decorated the front to kinda resemble the area in Utah... which is huge for winter sports!  And then the inside is the surprise!  Here's a short clip of it... The magic happens on the inside ... except that I messed up on my scoring lines, *I know I shouldn't point out my mistakes right?*  But I wasn't following a tutorial, just looked at another similar card and made mine larger to suit this M

Scurry Over Spinner Card

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Y'all know how I love creating interactive cards, so today's is another spinner card!  This time I made a "wreath" (sorta) using the pine needle die and the pinecone image from the Scurry Over rubber stamp set , both are part of November's Club La-La Land Crafts kit.  These spinners are so easy to make, and I'll show you how I did it below, but first here's a short clip showing how easily it spins! A dditional products used: Double Stitched Circle Dies Little Merry Christmas Paper Pack Home for Christmas Paper Pack INSTRUCTIONS: Cut your Kraft cardstock base at 5.5" x 11" and score in half at 5.5" Cut white cardstock mat to 5 1/4" square and adhere to card base. Christmas Door Décor

Hello, I hope you're having a nice weekend!  It has been a whole week since I last posted but I HAVE been busy creating... it's just that some things I can't show yet, and I have some fun news to share on Monday!  And some are not Inky related, like this wooden door sign I made. I purchased a 19.5" wooden circle at Hobby Lobby on sale and painted it black & white.  I don't have a working Cricut, so my sister cut out the lettering, stars and snowflakes and mailed them to me :)  I found the small red ribbon with snowflakes at the Dollar Tree.  And I still don't know if I like the bow and greenery but it is better than my first attempt!  IRL, this bow if very bulky looking, but I was tired of having this take up my kitchen table for a week (that long only because I let it dry between coats, and was a tiny bit hard to get motivated to finish it after I had it painted, sealed and vinyl applied.  I think i'll stick to my day job making cards!  LOL!  :)  I

Sending You a Cup of Cheer

Image
Happy crafty Saturday everyone!  I'm switching gears today as I got an itch to color up one of my older Marci stamps from La-La Land Crafts .  This one is called Hot Cocoa Marci which is no longer available, however they do have a different version with the same name that is just as cute!   I kept the card pretty simple with an ink-blended background, spattered with white acrylic paint for snow, then embellished with tiny snowflake sequins.   I had stamped one of the sentiments that came with this stamp directly onto the bottom right corner of the white layer in purple ink, however I didn't like the font and I stamped it slightly crooked, SO, I covered it up with this round sentiment from SU!'s Cup of Christmas set.  I realize I'm no pro at coloring, however I had forgotten how FUN it is to color up these Marci stamps 🥰   I might have to color up some more soon!   Happy Inking!

Today is the start of a new Digi-of-the-Month challenge at the   Imagine That Digistamp Blog !  It's also my oldest daughter's birthday today... Happy Birthday 🎂🥳🎈🎁 if you're reading this 💗   The digi this time is called  Truckin' Santa Paws  - how cute are these pups all decked out for Christmas?!!  The digi of the month will be on sale all month long! I colored the whole scene with Copics.  It's really hard to catch the glimmer in a photo, but I added a clear metalic gellyroll pen to some parts of the picture.  You get the jist :)   Come on over to play along!  Also... just a reminder that  Imagine That Digistamp  is having a  DESIGN TEAM CALL  on the blog during November to expand the creative team!  Please check it out :)   Happy Inking!
