Movie Time Marci n' Luka

Image
Welcome back!  It's Day 6 of the new release at La-La Land Crafts!  Have you checked out this huge release yet?   Today I'm focusing on the Bold Numbers clear stamps and Bold Numbers Dies ... but I just HAD to make this adorable movie night card with the new version of Movie Time Marci and (not so new) Luka with Remote on the sofa!  Ok, it's actually the Comfy Chair Die that I "stretched to make into a sofa by running the 2 pcs. mostly thru, then sliding the dies down and running it thru the rest of the way! 🙂  Our sofa is grey, so I went with grey cardstock, but felt it needed some texture, so I stenciled it with the blossoms from the Tree in Bloom Stencil .   You'll notice a console table behind the sofa - I cut it in half so I can have it peeking out on both ends of the sofa.  And I'm so excited they brought back this lacy heart die too - you can change up the middle for a pop of contrast, or keep it the same color.  July 3rd is the date my hubby propo

Flip Flap Shutter Cards

It's Day 5 of February's New Release at La-La Land Crafts!  I made (2) Flip Flap Cards using the Makers Gonna Make Clear Stamp Set and Journal This Clear Stamp Set -- setting crafty goals... to mail off LOVE to each of my girls ☺ Aren't these crafting mice so cute?!  This next photo shows how the 3 panels flip to the backside and the whole front panel moves!   Both cards are pretty much alike, except I used different paper packs and the panels are a li'l different.  The backside of shutters has some fun dies - a glue bottle, an ink pad, and a score tape roll.  ☺ In this view, you can see that this crafty mouse is painting X's and O's on the background that shows between the shutters when they're open. For the inside, I used the new Long Stitched Slots Die to make a giftcard holder!  For the GC, I made a mat out of shiny silver cardstock using the Stitched Rounded Rectangles Die  along with one of the dies from the Notebook Pages Die. It's fun to person

Desktop Calendar Easel Card

Hey there, welcome back!  It's Day 4 of February's New Release at La-La Land Crafts and it's a BIG ONE!   I'll be sharing my new release projects today, tomorrow and Saturday this week, and then for the next 3 weeks on Fridays!   For today's project I made a desk calendar & notes easel card! How CUTE is this?!!  There are 3 older Club Kits that are being released into the regular range of  products... BUT with a twist!  Most of them have additional stamps, sentiments, or dies!  This Comfy Chair was a stamp in the Club kit, but now it is a die!!  So cute to use patterned paper for it!  There's also LOTs more in the release... I hope you'll check it out ! :)   This next photo shows that I made a yearly calendar using the " Every Year Calendar" clear stamp set .  I Squeezed my pages together and clamped them tightly (you can use binder clips, or if you're out of those, use chip clips like I did - it works!)  Then I brushed on Art Glitter Glu

Club LLLC February Kit Reveal

Image
Time to reveal February's Club Kit at La-La Land Crafts!   I have 2 cards to share today using this cute kit and I played with distress oxide ink blending and stencils on both cards.  This first card uses the  Daffodils Layering Stencil set,  but by changing the colors I think it kinda looks like water lilies, don'tcha think?   Check out the La-La Land website  HERE  to watch Irina's video on some beautiful ways you can use this stencil! For the pond, I cut 2 of the dies from Under the Sea Die set :  one in Crumb Cake cardstock, and the other in white.  On the white layer, I sponged the distress ink and then misted water over it for that water bubbles effect.   ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS I USED: Wood Planks Background Stamp Daffodils Layering Stencil set Under the Sea Die Horizontal Pocket Die COPIC COLORS: SKin: E00, 000, 21, R00, R20 Dress: RV10, R81, 83, 85 Hair: E41, 43, 25 Boots: E41, 43, Cattails: E43, 25, YG13, 17, G99 Water Lilies: RV10, Y23 Crown: Y11, 23 DISTRESS OXIDE

Fun with Critter Builder Dies

Image
Happy Friday!!  Continuing the fun with the critter builder dies this week at La-La Land Crafts!  I love to see what different critters I can make other than the one the dies were intended for.  So today, I've used the Owl and Deer Builder dies to make this Congrats Baby card with a hen and chick :)  This would also make a fun Easter card , but I didn't have an Easter die or sentiment from LLLC yet.  CARD RECIPE: Bundle of Joy Clear Stamp Set   (sentiment) Double Stitched Eggs Die Owl Builder Die (both) Deer Builder Die (Hen) Stitched Sun & Clouds Die Long Flags Die Mushroom & Grass Border Die Shabby Flourishes Die Love You More paper pack Merry Little Christmas paper pack COPIC COLORS: Hen's comb & wattle: R24, 46, 59 Wings: T0 Cheeks: R00, R20 Chick (& hen's beak): Y11, 19, 38 Cracked Egg: E43 with blender over + white gel pen highlights Hop on over to the La-La Land Crafts BLOG or our FB Fan Group to see what the rest of Team Friday came up with

Love You DEERly

Image
Hello crafty friends!  This week, the design team is being challenged to create with the critter builder dies!     This is not my usual posting day (that would be Friday as I'm on 'Team Friday') and I will have another to post then, however, I made this as an extra card so thought I'd go ahead and post it today.  This one's for my hubby's Valentine's card.  You won't see a heart anywhere on this... (remember my my 25th anniversary card I made him?) as I wanted to make this more masculine... I know he'll appreciate the pun on the tag that pulls out, and of course the deer!   and here's a pic with the tag pulled out of the hidden pocket :)  I decided to color my deer with Copics and chalks.  Not sure if it's cuter colored or not - I'm not that good trying to resemble fur!?  But I like the white highlights anyways ☺ CARD RECIPE: Reindeer Marci Rubber Stamp (deerly sentiment)  Double Stitched Eggs Die Deer Builder Die Stitched ZigZags Die

Fishing You Well

Image
It's Inspiration Friday at La-La Land Crafts and our theme this week is GET WELL .   I have a new FAVORITE clear stamp set from LLLC... this " Keeping It Reel " is so cute and perfect for those who love fishing... and those who don't (like me) but appreciate the adorable images!  I do love going to the aquarium and the beach etc.  I think I just don't like the waiting - I'm not a very patient person in general, but to sit for hours waitin' for fishies to bite is not my idea of fun.  :)   MEASUREMENTS: (1)  Front lime-green piece = 5" x 7" (1)  Back lime green piece = 5" x 9" and scored at 1", 2", 7", and 8" (3)  Inner white pieces = 5-1/2" and scored at 1/4", and 5-1/4" (1) Inside Back white piece = 5" x 4-15/16" (1) Back of card white piece = 4-3/4" x 4-3/4" (for writing a message on) • I cut the largest die from Under the Sea out of my front green panel.  • I cut the next 3 sizes
