My Last 2 Before Christmas

Image
My inspiration for my projects today came from the 24 Days of Christmas Tutorials from the LLLC design team!  There are SO MANY that I want to make, but most will have to wait - maybe for Valentines or birthdays coming up.  You can see them all on the blog HERE or in their FB fan group HERE . These Shaker Gift Boxes are deeper than they look in these photos - really nice size!  They are from Day 21 hosted by Sheri . The Shaker Tree Ornaments are from Day 13, hosted by Tamara .   I altered mine by adding a backing and die-cutting it with the Stitched Slots Die and inserted a gift card!  LA-LA LAND CRAFTS PRODUCTS USED:  •  Holiday Smiles clear stamp     Starry Night paper pack    • Bear Hugs clear stamp set   • Snowflake Ornaments Die   • Double Stitched Hills Border Die   • Double Stitched Dome Die   • Scalloped Dome Die   • Double Stitched Squares Die   •  Stitched Slots Die   MY FAVORITE THINGS PRODUCTS USED  (on red box): • It's Penguining to Look alot Like Christmas stamp &a

Slimline Shaker Easel Card

Image
Hello!  It's the crazy time of year and I don't know what we were thinking when we decided to get married 4 days before Christmas... 25 years ago!  My hubby's birthday is actually on Christmas day as well, so we've got alot to celebrate this time of year!   I created this slimline shaker card for my hubby.  I must say, it turned out much softer than I had planned.  I was going to go red, white and green , (we had a Christmas wedding with white-flocked and lit trees, red velvet dresses for the bridesmaids... and my hubby's favorite color is green!).... BUT, I say #craftlife happened!  LOL!  Wanted to use my favorite paper packs from La-La Land but didn't have enough left of the "right" patterns I wanted to use, so ... it kinda took a turn into this blue and pink feminine card, but ya know what, he liked it and appreciated all the time I put into it, so that's what matters :)   I used the cute  Fuzzy Hugs   clear stamp set   from  La-La Land Crafts

JOY Nativity Cards

Image
Hello crafting friends, and a big welcome to my newest blog followers!  I hope you'll pop in and comment to let me know you're here 😁  Today I have several variations of cards using the same die called " Joy Nativity " - CottageCutz from The Scrapping Cottage .  (I will put all the product links at the end of this post).  You know I love my cutesy Christmas cards that I make throughout the year, but I always like to have some that reflect the true reason of the season - Christ's birth.  These were super quick to make... (except for the pop up box card) as I let the dies and papers literally do ALL the work!   For this first one, I created a popped up frame with the red paper, after die-cutting it - it almost gives it a shadowbox look.  I also cut the JOY nativity die out of the gold star paper and then popped up the JOY so that the sections behind the holy family and star would be solid and easier to see. I really LOVE the look of the red, white and gold!  I was

Multi-Layered Cube Card

We had our first snowfall of the season today!  Although it wasn't much, but it sure is pretty!  Speaking of snow(flakes)... I have another cute card today that has snowflakes on it... and ornaments and trees and lights, oh my!!  lol :)  This is my 2nd  Multi-Layered Cube Card , this time for Christmas.  You can see my birthday themed card HERE .  These cards are definitely a labor of love... and I'd attempt any papercraft challenge for my own daughters♥   I've used some really CUTE images that were released last month at La-La Land Crafts for this card!  Featured in the center is Reindeer Marci (red rubber stamp), and the hedgies are from Holiday Smiles (clear stamp set).  a view from the top - you get a look at the cute papers I've used from the   Little Merry Christmas  paper pack Not sure why I took this next picture - I am certainly no pro at coloring, but I do try to learn from what I've seen others' do.  I think this is my very first time coloring bl

Christmas Pavilion

Image
Wow, almost another week gone!  Where is the time going?!!  Tonight I pulled out a retired Stampin' Up! set called Pretty Pavilion and created a cute Christmas card with it.   I started with my favorite technique right now, ink blending! And then I spattered white acrylic paint using a small paint brush dipped in water for the falling snow. Then I die-cut some snowy drifts using the double stitched hills die (La-La Land Crafts) and stamped, colored, and die cut the pieces from the SU! set.  The "Merry Christmas" is from this month's Paper Pumpkin kit (I love the font!) I just realized this would have been cuter with a glowy haze around the star (on the background) OR even include one of those light up dealies to make it interactive!  Oooh, I might have to try that next time!  :)   I hope you all have a Merry & Bright Christmas holiday season!  Happy INKing! Snowboard Luka Slider

Image
Some stamps or images just BEG to be made into a specific interactive card.... that's the case with today's card ☺  This digi is called " Luka on Snowboard " and I mean, come on... he just HAS to "SLIDE" down that hill, am I right?!!!   So I made this cute slider card for my great-nephew who loves getting HAPPY MAIL!   **If you're viewing this via the Follow. It app, please pop over to my blog to see the video clip 😊 LA-LA LAND PRODUCTS USED:  •    Luka on Snowboard digi stamp   •   Starry Night paper pack •  Mountains Die •  Double Stitched Hills Border Die •  Build a Frame Stitched Large Die •  Long Flags Die Wishing you all (who celebrate it) a very Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!   I'm very thankful for crafty friends of all kinds, ☺  Thanks so much for reading my blog!   Happy INKing!

Pop-Up Stage Card and a New Way to Use Your Club Kit Dies

Image
Happy Sunday crafters!  I dug into my blog archives (fancy folds to be exact!) and found a couple of stage cards I made 11 years ago... but as they say, everything comes around again, wait, that's fashion!  LOL.  But seriously... I think this stage card has a wow factor and I was excited to make one again... this time in traditional Christmas colors! Before we we get to my card, I just want to tell you 'bout the awesome 25% OFF sale at La-La Land Crafts !  Go check it out, it's a great deal!!   Okay, here's my card... For this card, I used November's Club Kit (Remember, Nov. 30th is the last day to subscribe to get this awesome stamp & die kit! After that, it will be another 6 - 12 months before you can get them individually in their shop!) ... AND I wanted to show you how you can get more out of your dies! I die cut the pinecone several times out of white cardstock, to give me even more multiple layers for creating a Christmas Tree! (or is it a Christmas

Tunnel Spinner Card

Image
Hello and welcome back!  I do want to say that I will try to switch things up with different brands of stamps/dies from time to time, but I must admit... I'm on a La-La Land roll here lately!  Although, if my project inspires you... the sky's the limit with any stamps or dies!    ***Pst there's a 25% off coupon at the end of this post*** This card was created for my daughter, who's a college student in Salt Lake City, but on the side is taking ice skating lessons and getting quite good at the spins and turns!  So I used Figure Skater Marci digi stamp for this card. I decorated the front to kinda resemble the area in Utah... which is huge for winter sports!  And then the inside is the surprise!  Here's a short clip of it... The magic happens on the inside ... except that I messed up on my scoring lines, *I know I shouldn't point out my mistakes right?*  But I wasn't following a tutorial, just looked at another similar card and made mine larger to suit this M

Scurry Over Spinner Card

Image
Hello and happy Wednesday!  Y'all know how I love creating interactive cards, so today's is another spinner card!  This time I made a "wreath" (sorta) using the pine needle die and the pinecone image from the Scurry Over rubber stamp set , both are part of November's Club La-La Land Crafts kit.  These spinners are so easy to make, and I'll show you how I did it below, but first here's a short clip showing how easily it spins! A dditional products used: Double Stitched Circle Dies Little Merry Christmas Paper Pack Home for Christmas Paper Pack INSTRUCTIONS: Cut your Kraft cardstock base at 5.5" x 11" and score in half at 5.5" Cut white cardstock mat to 5 1/4" square and adhere to card base.
