Multi-Layered Cube Card

We had our first snowfall of the season today!  Although it wasn't much, but it sure is pretty!  Speaking of snow(flakes)... I have another cute card today that has snowflakes on it... and ornaments and trees and lights, oh my!!  lol :)

This is my 2nd Multi-Layered Cube Card, this time for Christmas.  You can see my birthday themed card HERE.  These cards are definitely a labor of love... and I'd attempt any papercraft challenge for my own daughters♥

I've used some really CUTE images that were released last month at La-La Land Crafts for this card!  Featured in the center is Reindeer Marci (red rubber stamp), and the hedgies are from Holiday Smiles (clear stamp set).

a view from the top - you get a look at the cute papers I've used from the

Not sure why I took this next picture - I am certainly no pro at coloring, but I do try to learn from what I've seen others' do.  I think this is my very first time coloring black hair.   And I know I've used some unusual colors for these stamps but I wanted them to match my papers so going for more grey/black tones than browns.  I don't recommend putting your card base together before you choose your stamps!  LOL!

The hedgies are suspended in air above the cubes - I've actually attached them to clear cardstock and then I folded the acetate back a bit so they'll be facing forward when card is open.  :)

and because I KNOW YOU'RE WONDERING ---- Yes, it folds flat for mailing!!

Although it is pretty big - measuring 7" x 7" you could make your own envelope using a envelope punch board, or put in a padded envelope (cheaper to mail as a "large envelope" prolly anyways) or if giving in person, you can make a box envelope for it!  :)

For the sentiment up top, I backed it with the Long Flags die, but to get the fish tails on both ends, I ran it through the die-cut machine part-way so it didn't cut off the straight end.  Then I turned the die around, and ran the other end through just enough to get the fish tails on the end (don't run it all the way thru or it will cut your flag in half!)

Are you ready to make one too?  I followed Jo Blackman's VIDEO TUTORIAL HERE
