Marci With Watering Can - a Shaped Card

Image
“[Those who trust in the Lord] shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit. “  Jeremiah 17:8 The Bible is full of analogies and I love this one.  To me, it means that those who are firmly grounded in Him (His Word, the Truth)  will be able to withstand any troubles that may come because [the Lord] will sustain us and give us strength to get us through.  Not only will we “get through it”, but we will “not be anxious and we will continue to bear fruit.” It might be hard to believe we can flourish when the world comes crashing down around us, but He gives us strength, courage, hope… everything we need to be what He will have us be.    To go along with this Scripture, I used my "green thumb" for my card today - I used things that are planted using Marci with Watering Can ! Okay… you’re pr

Father's Day Card & Invite

Image
I am having a lot of fun being a Spring/Summer Guest Designer at Serendipity Stamps!  They’ve  just released some great new stamps and I’m here with my 2nd GD post! I’ve used the Grilling Cling Set to make a Father’s Day card for dad… and a fun Apron-shaped invitation to the BBQ for the rest of the family!!  You can’t see it in this photo, but I colored the framework on the chair and the spatula in clear stardust gellyroll pen, so when it hits the light it’s very sparkly. And then I cut out an apron SVG from the Panda Picnic Party collection (with my Cricut) for a party invite.  Here’s the inside of the invite – the stamps shown come in the cling set !       Check out the Serendipity Blog for more inspiration and see their new releases!!

I'm a Serendipity Stamps Guest Designer!!

I was very pleasantly surprised to get an invitation from Mary at Serendipity Stamps to be their Spring/Summer Guest Designer !! They've released some great stamps that I'm a li'l nervous about doing them justice... but excited at the same time *Ü* Thank you Mary for this wonderful opportunity!! For my first card I'm sharing some versatiile sentiments! Since I had my cricut out on the kitchen table the other day I decided that the perfect card for the " Great Job ", " Stamp of Approval ", and " Congratulations " would be a graduation card! My niece Ashley is graduating H.S. next month and then going to nursing school. I'm so proud of her!! I made this cute grad cap shaped card using just the cap from a graduation set at svgcuts.com.   I stamped the " Stamp of Approval " in versamark and embossed it with black ep on some shimmery gold paper. The "2012" I used my SCAL program to create and cut with my cric

Chipmunk Shaker Card

Image
My card today features this cute Chipmunk with Daffodil  from Serendipity Stamps to make a shaker card!  It also comes with a cute sentiment that I put on the inside of my card (see pic below). Serendipity  sells window sheets (acetate) – you get 10 sheets of 8.5x11 for only $1 ☺ I used yellow dew drops for my noise-makers—makes shaking it more fun!! ha I used a FREE svg daffodil from svgcuts.com !  The one on the front I cut out of vellum and the inside of card I just used cardstock. Here’s the Inside of shaker card: Colossians 1:27b, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”   Sometimes Scripture just speaks for itself, doesn’t it?  Paul is telling the church of Colosse about the glorious gift that is available even to Gentiles… which is “ Christ in you, the hope of glory. ”  It’s only because of Jesus Christ and His sacrificial love that all people can have the hope of Christ and spend eternity in glory with Him! This verse came to mind when my boss asked me to l
