Casual Jeans Friday

Image
Can't believe I'm so late in posting this card...it's almost bedtime! Well, today was kinda hectic here at the Breach farm... so I'm lucky to even get on the computer at all today, lol. SO... how many of you have "Casual Fridays" at work where you get to wear your favorite blue jeans? Well, LiLi is all ready for a party in her fashion jeans and sweater! This week's TLC was to create " Faux Denim " and this is my 2nd try (and this time turned out much better--it takes a li'l practice, heehee). So, I only made one 1/4 sheet of it and then wanted to paper piece her jeans out of my piece, so I cut out a smaller oval out of the middle of my denim c.s. and then just covered that up with a larger stamped oval!! Perfect!! :)   I also used this week's Color Challenge , which was brilliant blue, tango orange, and yellow. I think this also qualifies for Thursday's challenge which was to go "bright"...hmmm, do you think this is bright

Apple Berry Purse

Image
Happy Thursday, stampers!! I have another cute file purse to share with you today! This time I used some fun and funky fruity paper ( it's actually thicker, more like cardstock but it still worked fine!) and added a scallop border, some little red bows and this Tilda with Bee from the Magnolia's Butterfly collection. As you can see, I covered up the bee with one of the juicy apples from the DP and pop-dotted it to her hand ☺ I also used some of these Basic Grey magnets to hold the flap closed. These little magnetic discs are so awesome!! They are really a strong magnet...although I would suggest using a glue dot on the sticky side after you peel off the little white sticker as their glue wasn't as strong as the magnetism and therefore wouldn't really hold to my c.s. SO, I just stuck one of my small glue dots on each half and worked beautifully! ☺ THANK YOU for all your awesome comments on my last post!! I can see these are a big hit!! ☺ I showed my mom how to make

Cute Little File Purse

Image
Hey there! :) I just made my very first filing purse!! I saw this tutorial over on Maria's blog --you've got to go check out the four that she made--they're beautiful!   The possibilities are endless. And look what image I used... this is Angelica's Heart Socks -- perfect sitting there holding her little *purse* ;) I used these little magnets ( that my friend Kelly sent me ) for the closure except I didn't realize until after I stuck them on with glue dots that those little white "+" and "-" stickers were actually suppose to be removed to reveal the sticky part! Oh well :) These are fun. I think I'll definately be making more of these with some various (maybe brighter, funner) designer papers.  Hey Kathy...wanna make one while you're here this weekend? ☺ *EDITED TO ADD:  Maria evidentally removed her tutorial from her blog, so here is my most recent one HERE .

Triple Whammy!

Image
(a.k.a. three challenges in 1) ☺ SCS is offering some really cool challenges this week!! So I made a card using 3 of them; Monday's TLC225 which was to create this really neat "Faux Handmade Paper"; Wednesday's sketch challenge, SC233 ; and Thursday's WT223 which was to use "Texting" on your card. Of course I had to ink up my new Angelica's Heart Socks stamp from Inky Impressions--isn't she adorable?!! My coloring and shading are getting better. It may look like her shoe strings don't match, but I used sparkly gellroll pens for those and the lighting make them look darker. It matches much better IRL. ;) My colors of cardstock are SU! Regal Rose, Only Orange, and Pretty in Pink. For the "texting" part, I decided to finally break open my package I got from my hubby for my birthday... a labeler! It's pretty cool and even comes with some fun borders. And this "faux paper" technique is super easy and looks even cooler u

INKY Challenge Wednesday

Image
Today is  "INKY Wednesday Challenge." We were asked to create something 3D, so I decided to make this cute little Gable Box and make a farm themed set with LiLi -- she's so intrigued over those adorable chicks that have just hatched! I found a picture of chicken wire online and printed it onto my Saffron cardstock for the box base. The DP on both is SU!'s Bella Rose and I printed the sentiment on my computer as well. You can click on the picture to see it up close. I have to tell you...I'm having so much fun coloring these adorable girl stamps!! OH, and in case you're wondering---I use watercolor pencils and an aqua painter to color all my images! Hope you get time to Ink Something today!!

Be sure to follow the blog hop all the way to the end, leaving a comment on each blog for a chance to win some yummy blog candy! (picture of candy at the end of my post) And now for my first reveal: Happy July Birthday!! This is "LiLi" designed after Nicole's youngest daughter, and this stamp is called " Happy Spring LiLi " -- You should have come here from Kristen's blog in which she showcases this same stamp in it's entirety (the way it's "suppose" to look *wink*) - so I thought I'd show you what else you can do with it!! I've cropped out the spring banner with scotch tape and added a pinwheel and balloons! She reminds me so much of my youngest daughte
