Aug DOTM - Pretty Calf

It's the first of the month which means a new Digi-of-the-Month Challenge is live over at the Imagine That Digistamp Blog!  I drew this month's digi for my daughter's 21st birthday.  She is crazy about cute cows... especially the Highland calves!    I know for some it's a phase, but she grew up right next door to a cattle ranch (we're still here) and the cows come up to our backyard and the girls would sing to them, give them names and write their tag numbers etc.  They even got to bottle feed some babies.  She now wants to own some Highland cows - when she gets her own place of course, and graduates college, etc. etc.

SO... this cow's for you, daughter!

Imagine That Digistamp Pretty Calf

For the inside, I made a pop up - pop out piece!  The cake pops up, and the "21" pops out.

There's even 21 candles stamped at the bottom!

Everyone who played in our challenge last month got this whole set FREE!

If you did not, you can jump into our monthly challenge by purchasing "Pretty Calf" at a DISCOUNT all this month, then come link up your papercraft project and you will start getting FREE DIGIS every month that you participate!

What will YOU imagine?!

What a fab card, just love how you used your stamps on the inside and the pop-up, well, those things boggle my mind. Kudos! And I may have to buy this set, it's so adorable! I think it should be adopted by that milk company, I'm having a brain fart and can't remember, Pet Milk? NO, Daisy the Cow was their symbol -- Borden's! That's it! I'm so embarrassed! They're a Texas company and tradition! At any rate, your sweet calf reminds me of Daisy. XOX

Addendum to my comment above: I have now gone now the Borden's rabbit hole and was surprised to learn that Borden's owned Elmer's Glue until 1999. AND, the namesake of the glue, Elmer, was Daisy's husband! Look on your bottle of Elmer's Glue (we all have one) and see that bull? That's Elmer! So, if you didn't already know, you do now, brown cow! Hahaaha! Hugs! xoxo
