Prettie Sophia and a Happy Surprise

Today's card uses my newest SOTM from Paper Pretties called "Give Thanks" - isn't Sophia so pretty in her paper pieced dress? Perfect stamp for paper piecing! This is also yesterday's Mojo Monday sketch. I rarely do plain white backgrounds, and I'm not sure I really like this. I'm still thinking on it, lol. I do love this DP and Sophia though, which IS my "main focus" on this card so that prolly makes the rest fine. What do you think? :) Oh ya, I also added some pink stickles to the flower and her hair bow.
STAMPS: Give Thanks Sophia (
Paper Pretties)
PAPER: Ruby Red (SU!); White (Gina K); DP (?)
ACCESSORIES: silver brads; paper piercing tools;
rectangle Nestabilities
; small & large oval punches (SU!); white satin

And now for my *Happy Suprise*... I won some fabulous blog candy over at Kim's Basement Stamping!! Look at the contents of this gorgeous frame!! It's so beautiful and will look stunning in my home. Family Time and a New Venture

Hi everyone!! Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday! I've been enjoying time with my sister and her kids this weekend. After church today we went out to a couple's place for a BBQ and it was so fun. We had a salmon bake, but they also had hot dogs, and lots of fruit salads and cake etc. You should've seen the buildings this guy made! It's like an old western movie with a candy store and a bunk house, and then there was a black smith's shop and corrals. He loves to tinker with things and he made a couple of Go-Karts which were way fun for the kids and a Zip Line. I'll have to post some pictures on my family blog soon.

OK, now I have some awesome news to share with you!! I was invited to join the Jacksonbelle Embellishments Design Team!!! ☺

I saw they were looking for 4 new DT members and so I applied, and guess what?? They invited 11 newbies to join the team, including myself!! WOW!! There's a lotta talent goin' on over there, and I'm so honored that they wanted me to be a part of it!! ☺ Here are my new DT sisters,

Super Star & a Switcheroo

Yay...it's Saturday!! And this teddy is ready to ROCK!! :) Isn't he so cute? He's from the C.C. Designs set, "Rockin' Out." Do you recognize this sketch? It's our monthly challenge sketch over on Paper Craft Planet, and you have 3 more days to participate and be eligible to win some fabulous goodies!! ☺ (Well, okay... those stars in the middle are suppose to be a circle, but I mostly went by the sketch, LOL.) I hope you'll come play along in the challenge, and come visit with the girls over there--we have lots of fun chit chat going on and we're always very happy to have familiar as well as new faces join us!

And now for the "Switcheroo" part... Kelly and I switched days for posting over on the KLSNS blog, so she will now be posting every Tuesday and I will be posting on Saturdays. Thanks so much for switching with me Kelly---this will really work with my schedule better! ☺ {{hugs}}

Have a super stamp-scrappy weekend!!

Casual Jeans Friday

Can't believe I'm so late in posting this card...it's almost bedtime! Well, today was kinda hectic here at the Breach farm... so I'm lucky to even get on the computer at all today, lol. SO... how many of you have "Casual Fridays" at work where you get to wear your favorite blue jeans? Well, LiLi is all ready for a party in her fashion jeans and sweater!

This week's TLC was to create "Faux Denim" and this is my 2nd try (and this time turned out much better--it takes a li'l practice, heehee). So, I only made one 1/4 sheet of it and then wanted to paper piece her jeans out of my piece, so I cut out a smaller oval out of the middle of my denim c.s. and then just covered that up with a larger stamped oval!! Perfect!! :)
I also used this week's Color Challenge, which was brilliant blue, tango orange, and yellow. I think this also qualifies for Thursday's challenge which was to go "bright"...hmmm, do you think this is bright enough?? LOL. I sure like the way this one turned out. As you can see in the up close versions, I used stickles and stardust gellyroll pens to add shimmer to her hair clips, the roses on topping on the cake, and the designs on her jeans and socks. This time I watercolored on watercolor cardstock--it definately gives a different look than on smooth white c.s. What do ya think?
Well, I have another cute card to show you tomorrow, so I hope you'll check back in ☺ I'm going to go pre-post it now as I have another busy day tomorrow, but a very exciting one!! My sister Kathy is coming down for a visit with her 2 kids and we're taking the kids swimming in the afternoon and it's my niece's 15th birthday, so we'll be taking her out for dinner etc. Have a super stampy weekend!!

Apple Berry Purse

Happy Thursday, stampers!! I have another cute filing purse to share with you today! This time I used some fun and funky fruity paper (it's actually thicker, more like cardstock but it still worked fine!) and added a scallop border, some little red bows and this Tilda with Bee from the Magnolia's Butterfly collection.
As you can see, I covered up the bee with one of the juicy apples from the DP and pop-dotted it to her hand ☺ I also used some of these Basic Grey magnets to hold the flap closed. These little magnetic discs are so awesome!! They are really a strong magnet...although I would suggest using a glue dot on the sticky side after you peel off the little white sticker as their glue wasn't as strong as the magnetism and therefore wouldn't really hold to my c.s. SO, I just stuck one of my small glue dots on each half and worked wonderfully! :)

THANK YOU READERS for all your awesome comments on my last post!! I can see these are a big hit!! ☺ I showed my mom how to make one and she's planning on making these for all her fellow teachers in the Fall. OH, you prolly want the tutorial on how to do this cute project yourself, right? LOL. Just follow this link to the lovely Maria's blog post/tutorial. She made 4 of these babies and they are all soo beautiful! Thanks again Maria for sharing this awesome picture tute with us! :)

Lots of Stampy Goodness going on over at KL Stampin N Scrappin right now! Did you know that some of Rachelle Anne Miller stamps are retiring?? Kelly ordered some in and they are at least $2 off PLUS if you spend $25 by the end of June, you get an extra $5 off your order, or if you spend $50, you get an extra $10 off !!! Cute Li'l Filing Purse

Hey there! :) I just made my very first filing purse!! I saw this tutorial over on Maria's blog--you've got to go check out the four that she made--they're beee-autiful!! :) I think these are perfect for filing images from swaps, or sending some images to a friend! The possibilities are endless. And look what Image I used... this is Angelica's Heart Socks -- perfect sitting there holding her little *purse* ;)
I used these little magnets (that my friend Kelly sent me) for the closure except I didn't realize until after I stuck them on with glue dots that those little white "+" and "-" stickers were actually suppose to be removed to reveal the sticky part! Oh well :)

These are fun. I think I'll definately be making more of these with some various (maybe brighter, funner) designer papers. Hey Kathy...wanna make one while you're here this weekend? ☺

Today's Inky Challenge Wednesday!! :) Be sure to hop on over to the Inky Impressions Challenge blog for a fun challenge!

Faux Denim 'N Reverse Applique

Hi, I'm back...with a couple of "firsts" to share. I made this card for KL Stampin N Scrappin using Monday's "Technique Lovers Challenge" which was to create Faux Denim, so here's my first attempt. I think it's actually looks more like plaid, but oh well! :) I'm running out of pink cardstock but have a ton of orange---I just don't use that color much, but it goes really well with this Lime Rickey pad by Basic Grey, so I went with it! :) And this is Bathing Beauty Emma once again (love her!)... and this time she used her sunscreen!! Good girl, Emma!

For the reverse applique, I just punched out some hearts out of the denim and then taped little pieces of dp behind it to fill in the hearts. Then I used my sewing machine and tried my hardest to make it look like an 8 year old sewed it and guess what??!!! IT WORKED!!! LOL (okay, this was really my first attempt at sewing around hearts and I did try my best, but hey--it gives it "character" right?!) ;P And last but not... well, okay, it prolly IS the least because the sentiment is so faded that you can hardly read it!! I stamped it with my white craft pad but ya...it's not very "inky" so I should've used some white embossing powder. Live and Learn. Just "bee" creative! lol. Yes, I'm amusing myself today. LOL.

and now a message from KL SNS!!

Build your own Blingee

We've reached 10,000 hits on the KL Stampin N Scrappin blog and Kelly's giving away this prize package to one lucky winner!! It includes an adorable card, a personally hand-stamped original by Kelly Little! as well as a Rachelle Anne Miller stamp, some brads, a Cuttlebug folder, Basic Grey papers ad more! Please click the picture to go read what you need to do to win this! :) Good Luck everyone!!

Happy Stampin' N Scrappin'!!

Happy Father's Day

Well, it's Saturday night as I'm typing up this post and I just finished my Father's Day card for my husband...talk about waiting til the last minute! Although I do remember one Christmas when I got up a little early to make him a "last minute" card, lol. This image is soooo "him" - he loves to fish (and hunt etc.). I found this cute li'l Hanglar image in my stash that someone sent me, I'm pretty sure it was either Nikki or Lim (thanks again girls!!)

I made up this sketch all by myself! Usually I'm following a sketch somewhere as there're so many good ones, but I had these pieces of left over dp so I made them fit and I really like the end result :) That little piece behind the sentiment looks like checked dp but it's not. The dark blue dp has a piece of green mesh over the top to kinda give that "net" feel to the card.

SO... as I mentioned before, we took my husband out to his favorite restaurant for Father's Day last night. It was soooo yummy! They give you a basket of "scones" but they really are more like a deep fried dinner roll and serve it with honey butter...am I making you salivate yet? LOL. Ok, so after dinner we went out back of the restaurant and went for a stroll in the park. We had fun watching the geese and ducks.
The girls got a big kick out of the ducks. There were even some babies in there.
The girls are so into naming every animal they come across! But I'm sure all little girls do this, right??!!!
and this is just a nice tree in the park. We don't have beautiful trees like this back at home, so I took a picture. ☺
Then as we drove into our driveway at 9:30 p.m., the Fiasco began!! One of the bunnies got free and we saw her running and leaping like a jack rabbit and she went under the front deck. :( SOOO, we had to lock our cats indoors (they are not indoor cats and they are very good hunters! - Not good for the li'l bunny!) and then we got the carrier out and put some food in it and stuck it right in front of the hole she dug and we sat there waiting for her to come out..in the dark of course! We waited for about 45 minutes. The dog kept whining and barking and thought she'd amuse us by chasing her tail and being "cute." Oh brother!! Then we finally got smart and got 2 pieces of cardboard the width of the deck and stuck them down between the slats and she got around it! So we started unscrewing two boards and tried the cardboard again and we finally got her---2 1/2 hours later!! It was a little after midnight when we finally got her in her hutch. Good thing it didn't last much longer cause our cats are not house trained and I was really starting to worry! LOL.

Here's the little culprit:
Hope you all have a wonderful Father's Day! ☺

Triple Whammy!

(a.k.a. three challenges in 1)
Can't believe how FAST summer is flying by--it's Friday already?!! Snuck up on me. Ok, so SCS is offering some really cool challenges this week!! So I made a card using 3 of them; Monday's TLC225 which was to create this really neat "Faux Handmade Paper"; Wednesday's sketch challenge, SC233; and Thursday's WT223 which was to use "Texting" on your card.

Of course I had to ink up my new Angelica's Heart Socks stamp from Inky Impressions--isn't she adorable?!! My coloring and shading are getting better. It may look like her shoe strings don't match, but I used sparkly gellroll pens for those and the lighting make them look darker. It matches much better IRL. ;) My colors of cardstock are Regal Rose, Only Orange, and Pretty in Pink.
For the "texting" part, I decided to finally break open my package I got from my hubby for my birthday... a labeler! It's pretty cool and even comes with some fun borders. And this "faux paper" technique is super easy and looks even cooler up close. You just wad up some clean toilet paper, and dab it in 3 different pools of acrylic paints (1 at a time) and fill in the space on your white cardstock. Then you go over it with a metalic paint dabbing lightly and sparingly for a glimmer effect. The only metalic I had was a pearl white metalic, but it was perfect with these colors. You should try it! :) Fun fun.

Okay, I prolly won't be posting again until Tuesday as I have to clean house!! My sister is coming to visit with her 2 teenagers and is leaving one of them with us until August. We have to get another bed in the girls room. OH, and tonight we're taking my husband out (for early Father's Day meal) to our favorite restaurant in town over an hour away that the girls haven't even been to yet. It's one that hubby and I go to only once a year for our anniversary--he proposed to me by the pond after we ate there, 13 years ago ♥........ but the girls are old enough now and think they'll really enjoy it. It has a huge tree growing up through the middle of the dining area. It's a classy (and spendy) place but it is SOOOOO Yummy! There's a huge park and pond out back that you can go for a stroll too. SO, tata for now! Have a wonderful weekend ☺

INKY Challenge Wednesday

First of all...Did you notice my new BANNER?!!! *huge grin* I've been wanting to do a farm theme for a while now-- just because it says a little more about me (I'll explain more on that later) and I finally finished it last night.I'm sure you recognize this little girl up there -- that's LiLi from Inky Impressions! Which brings me to today's "INKY Wednesday Challenge." We were asked to create something 3D, so I decided to make this cute little Gable Box and make a farm themed set with LiLi -- she's so intrigued over those adorable chicks that have just hatched!
I found a picture of chicken wire online and printed it onto my Saffron cardstock for the box base. The DP on both is SU!'s Bella Rose and I printed the sentiment on my computer as well. You can click on the picture to see it up close.
I have to tell you...I'm having so much fun coloring these adorable girl stamps!! OH, and in case you're wondering---I use watercolor pencils and an aqua painter to color all my images!
Wanna see more 3D projects made with some different Inky Impressions girls?? Or did you just receive some of these gorgeous stamps and want to join in our challenge??? Then check out our challenge blog! ☺ We'd LOVE to have you visit and participate!!

Hope you get time to Ink Something today!!

I finally used Heidi's cute sketch that she posted over on KL SNS blog a few weeks ago... I know I'm a little late getting around to it, but hey--a great sketch can be used any ol' time right? Thanks for the inspiration Heidi!! :)

Wanna Win a Stamp N Paper Pad?

YAY...it's the Weekend!! Time to go relax at the beach...anyone with me??!! Well, maybe in virtual land we can, huh? Although I'm sure some of you are close enough to a beach, just like Emma here! Bathing Beauty Emma is one of the new Sugarplums at KLSNS!

This is my entry for Sparkle's sketch challenge over at our KLSNS Girls PCP group. It might look "a little off", but I mostly went by the sketch, LOL. And you all still have time to come participate in our fun sketch challenge to win a FREE stamp and a FREE pack of Basic Grey Paper!! You have until the end of June to enter, so what are you waiting for?? ;)

About my Card: For the waves, I used my wavy template (CM) and popped each wave strip on pop dots, and since I didn't have a saying to match, I used the Riveting stamp set from SU! OH, and of course my Labels 1 Nesties for the stamped layers, which reminds me... there's still one more set of this Labels 1 in the store as I type this, so hurry cause once the "add to cart" button disappears, it's gone! ;)

Lots of good sales going on over at KLSNS right now!! I'm sure you've all heard of them by now, but just in case you haven't, please visit the home page to read all about them!! :) ALSO... the owner, Kelly has just posted a "ROCKIN" card today on the blog!! Be sure to go check that out as well!

Happy Stampin N Scrappin ladies!!

Angelica's Daydream

Happy Friday Stampers!! Here's yet another Inky Impressions cutie called Angelica's Daydream. These stamps are so fun to color! Well, I thought about what I could sit her on, maybe a ribbon? But I decided to use SCS sketch challenge (this week's) and my ribbon just wouldn't have worked. SO... my 10 year old grabbed my flower soft and said "here mom, use this!" - why Thank You Carly!! Ok, so now she's sitting on a bed of flowers.... Hmmmm, LOL!!! Usually we smell the flowers not sit on them, lol ---- Oh, I know, maybe it's one of those wall partitions with flowers and moss growing through the cracks! YA, that's it!! ;P

Anyway, I also tried this week's TLC222 which was to create some fun crinkled cardstock flowers! Those are so easy and a lot of fun! I used my CTMH cardstock because it has a white core which would be perfect for this technique because after crinkling it, you're suppose to go over the crinkles with a nail file. But.... I don't have one, all I have is a foot file and well---we won't even go there!!! :) Lol. Don't want any of my card recipients to wonder what I used on it THIS TIME!!! - lol. But you can sponge over them instead of filing so... ☺

SO... got any fun weekend plans? I've gotta get started on my recipe swaps!! That and plan music for worship team on Sunday. Oh ya... my girls started the "Pins & Needles Crafters" 4-H class this week. So I've been helping them with their crocheted projects. The biggest thing they need help with is holding the yarn and needle!! But it'll come with more practice. Well, have a good one and remember that today is the last day to finish our blog hop -- if you want a chance at that super prize pack that is!!

NOTE: This post will stay at the top until the end of our Blog Hop, Friday 12th. Please scroll down for newer posts. Thanks! :)
Woohoo...the day has finally come!! Inky Impressions is opening it's doors today!! What better way to celebrate than with a BLOG HOP!!

If you didn't start the blog hop at the beginning, then you will want to head back to Nicole's Blog so you do not miss anything. Be sure to follow the blog hop all the way to the end, leaving a comment on each blog for a chance to win some yummy blog candy! (picture of candy at the end of my post) And now for my first reveal:

Happy July Birthday!!

This is "LiLi" designed after Nicole's youngest daughter, and this stamp is called "Happy Spring LiLi" -- You should have come here from Kristen's blog in which she showcases this same stamp in it's entirety (the way it's "suppose" to look *wink*) - so I thought I'd show you what else you can do with it!! I've cropped out the spring banner with scotch tape and added a pinwheel and balloons! She reminds me so much of my youngest daughter Maddy below: ...of course she's squinting from the sun, but she normally has big blue eyes too! :)
And my next card is made with "LiLi's Chicks"

Hoping for... Fun Surprises!

I computer generated the sentiment: "Hoping your special day is full of fun surprises!...Happy Birthday" -- there's lots of sayings you could add to this cutie! Stay tuned...I've got some really fun inky projects to show you next Wednesday! ;)

Here's a little peek at what's waiting for one lucky blog hopper!! HAVE FUN!!! :)
Wait until you see these fabulous stamps up close and personal, the CUTE factor is off the charts on design alone! But it's even better because the quality & detail is exceptional as each stamp is "EXTRA deep etched" on quality red rubber for a crisp, clean impression every time!

***Next head over to Inspirational Inkette Maria to see what fabulous inspiration she has for you! xXx
