Today I'm featuring Marci with Goldfish and the Fish Tank Die! I made the fish tank (bowl) into a shaker... and put it on the inside of my card so it wouldn't be quite so bulky on top.
To make my shaker, I cut the fish bowl out 6x and glued them on top of each other to give the dimension I needed for the shaker elements. I then cut 1 more and used it as a template by placing it onto a piece of acetate and cut around the outside of it. I repeated that process onto a piece of white cardstock, then I stenciled the Waves (from the Summer is Here stencil) onto the white piece. Next, I glued my sandcastle and coral (they come with the Fish Tank die) to the waves, then added the goldfish with foam dots for dimension. I then glued my stack of 6 fish bowl die cuts onto the waves layer and added shaker elements inside. And lastly, I added glue to the backside rim of the acetate layer and placed on top.
To make the cut out on the front, I glued my brown scalloped layer onto the blue card front, then my patterned paper. Then I die cut through all 3 layers (with card in open position so I don't cut the back of my card!).
