Give Today Your OWL!
Today's card is an interactive Up & Down Slider card featuring some new owl stamps (Owl See You Clear Stamp Set) and dies (Houses Border Die) from the April Release at La-La Land Crafts!
I watched a YT video by Laura Dovalo on how one of these up and down slider cards was made (she used a die that she helped design for another company) and I don't have the die set, but I created a template that was similar. I did have to double up my "T" shape to make it sturdy enough, and I used heavy weight cardstock (110 lb) for all of the moving pieces which was a mistake. I should have used lightweight c.s. for the tabs that fit into the channels. I also think they would move easier by using slider discs rather than folded paper. This probably doesn't make any sense to you if you've never created such a card, but that's okay. It's good to make note of it to myself for next time, lol. The important thing is... IT MOVES! and is alot of fun! This is one that took some time but I will make again ☺
