Cruzin' Through the Snow

Hello crafty friends!

Today's card is a Bridge Fold Card I made using the Classic 50's Release from The Scrapping Cottage!

My hubby's birthday is in December and green is his favorite color, so this one's for him.  There's room on the back for a personal message. This is a Bridge Fold card and I'll show you how I made it, but if you'd like a video, there's a great one on Splitcoast Stampers here.

DESIGN STEPS:
Step 1
Cut a cardstock base to 5 1/2" x 9”.
Score at 3” on either end. Fold into a Z and burnish.

Step 2
Center one of the Clouds Slimline Dies (or die of your choice) over the Z folded piece at the top. Secure with Post it notes or Washi tape and run thru machine back and forth a few times to go thru all 3 sections.

Step 3
Cut 3 pieces of white cardstock to 2-3/4” x 5". Using the same cloud die you used on your folded piece, and in the same position, die cut the tops of all 3 pieces.

Step 4
Score down the center of the outside two pieces of card base and 2 of the white pieces, and mountain fold them. Adhere the non-folded white piece to the center of card and the folded ones to the outside panels.

Step 5
Cut a piece of white cardstock that is 4" x 1-1/2" and score 1/2" on each end.
Cut another piece of white that is 4" wide by about 2" tall and score 1/2" on each end.  Then cut the top with one of the cloud dies.

Step 6
Add glue to the side flaps of the straight-topped piece and adhere to the inside sides and so the bottom is flush with the bottom of the white sides as shown below.

Adhere the cloud-topped piece half-way between the front "bridge" piece and the back, but up higher, but so the bottom is hidden below the top of the front piece.

Step 7
Die cut pieces from Classic Car (front), Woodland Pine Trees, and the Fifties Phrases #2 and assemble.

Step 8
I added Snow Writer to the pine trees for a snowy effect!

Step 9
Adhere one tree to the center back of card with a foam strip/dot, and then glue 2 trees to the cloud-topped center piece.

Glue "You're a Classic" down the side panels.

Step 10
Add foam strips to the bottom portion of the back of car and adhere to the front center piece.

How CUTE are those dice hanging from the mirror? {♥♥}

Tutorial - Box Cards W/O Dies

Hello again!  I'm back with 2 more box cards using some brand new stamps and dies from the upcoming SU! Holiday mini catalog & SAB and a tutorial on how you can make these without using special dies! First I'll show you a card that uses special dies that make it super quick & easy to create the basic box base to showcase all your fun images, and then I will show you how you can make a very similar card without using the dies.  This is a fun new stamp set featured in the upcoming SU! Holiday Mini Catalog called "Penguin Place" - I bought the bundle, so it has a punch that goes with it to punch out the sitting/standing penguin outline, the white inner piece, and the feet.  I had to fussy cut the trees, gifts, hats & scarves and the sliding penguin.  This is one set I wish they had made a die set to match for all those smaller pieces.   The Box base is created with dies by  My Favorite Things  called " Outside the Box Level Up Die-namics ".  My

Pop Up Flip Card - Interactive Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Today's card was inspired by several I've seen recently on Pinterest and Youtube and it's one I hadn't tried yet, so I created one with February's Paper Pumpkin kit called, "Bouquet of Hope." These are super simple to make but yet has that "wow" factor for your recipient.  This is one I will definitely come back to again and again. Here's a view from the side.  It does have a box-y mechanism and a li'l flap that helps the oval POP when you open it.  The mechanism is a piece cut at 3" x 4" and scored along the 4" side at 1", 2", and 3".  The li'l tab on top is cut at 2 1/4" x 3/4" and scored at 1 1/4".  If you prefer to watch a video, Dawn has an excellent one here .    ♥ ♥ ♥ Stamps:  SU! - February 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit: Bouquet of Hope; Butterfly Gala Dies & Punches:  SU! - Butterfly Duo punch; Stitched Shapes Dies Paper:  SU! - Flower & Field (SAB Jan-Feb 2021); Poppy Parade, &am

Tutorial - Origami 4-Drawer Easel Card

Happy Sunday crafty friends!  I was asked for instructions after posting pictures of this box card on a FB group, so here it is!   While I am not the original creator of the 4-drawer easel card that were all the rage 10 years ago, I thought of a way to create the drawers from designer paper ,  when others were creating it using cardstock.  Some had dies that cut the drawers and others were clever enough to come up with the correct measurements to cut and score and tape, but I couldn't wait to find what I was looking for so I just made a simple origami fold box for the drawers and wha-la!  It worked ... and is prettier than plain cardstock IMO.  :)   So I'm here to share it with y'all again, this time using Stampin' Up!'s Ornate Garden Suite (stamps, dies and paper!)   Supplies Needed: - (4) 6-inch pieces of designer series paper - (2) 4 ¾” coordinating designer paper (or can use same   as 6” pcs.) - (3) 8 ½ x 11” sheets of cardstock – can be same or different color

Multi-Tiered Pop Up Penguins

Welcome friends!  I had a great time last night on a Zoom call with my SU! upline and 8 others in her downline group - so fun to "meet" them and put faces to names and craft together - for 3 hours!  :)  We all worked on our own projects and they were so diverse, love it!   For my zoom project, I created a multi-tiered pop up box card --- no surprise there, right guys?!  BUT, this one was on a much larger scale and needs a 6 1/8" square envelope, which I had to make myself, but with the help of my nifty envelope punch board , it was pretty easy... PRETTY being the operative word as I used some the same Whimsy & Wonder dsp from SU! as I used on my card!   I will include the measurements for making this card below my photos, so keep scrolling :)  The Whimsy & Wonder dsp has holographic striped paper that I used on the sides of my box.   These cute penguins and matching punch are bundled in the new Holiday Catalog, July - Dec. 2021, and so is the Whimsy & Wond
