Welcome back to my 3rd post for the July release at La-La Land Crafts! This release is a TON of FUN! You can see it all here.
I'm excited to share today's card as it uses a Ferris Wheel die!! How fun is this?! Of course I had to make it SPIN! I also decided to try a "new-to-me" card fold. I'm not new to easel cards, but I've never tried this Reverse Easel before - what do you think? Gives it a totally new look. I was a li'l worried my Ferris Wheel and Luka with Ice Cream wouldn't be sturdy enough on their own, so I did mount a sheet of heavy acetate under my top white layers of easel and had it extend the rest of the way so that when the card is closed, it fills most of the card.
Again, I used the Best of Times Clear Stamp Set for the bottom panel with the rollercoaster and cityscape background and I popped that panel up with foam tape so it can prop up the acetate and keep Luka standing up.
Here is the card in action, although it went so FAST that you couldn't even see it spinning in the video - even after I slowed it down a bit. But if you watch the li'l cars on the ends of the spokes, you can see they are turning from it spinning so fast! :)
