Origami Window Frame Fold

It's Inspiration Friday at the La-La Land Crafts blog and our theme this week is:  BUTTERFLIES

For today's card I tried the Origami Window Frame Fold

You can see the dimension a li'l better in the next photo.

To create my window, I started with a piece of double-sided paper from the Say it With Flowers paper pack cut to 4-1/2" square.  Then, using my diagonal score board, I scored it at 2-1/4" and 3" on each side of my square, folded the inner score up and then the outer score down and Voila!

I cut a green square using the largest of the Double Stitched Squares die set to mat my window.

For the butterflies, I die cut them from light pink cardstock then added some distress oxide ink in picked raspberry and added white gel pen dots.  Then I glued the wings onto vellum and fussy cut around them at a slight angle so you can't see the vellum sticking out.

And of course it folds flat to put in an envelope. ☺

Happy Inking!
