First, I want to get the bad news outta the way... in case you haven't heard, Daydreams Designs store has closed. I say "Bad news" because that's how it can be perceived by all her wonderful customers... however, her Design Team knows that it's all in God's plan, which can only be a good thing! The owner, who happens to be a very dear and close friend of mine, made this necessary decision to focus on some much needed personal issues. The Lord is so good and is already revealing to her His plans for her near future, so as hard as it is to close the doors on her dream store, she is at peace. Being in God's will is always comforting and I pray He showers her with blessings. I'm so thankful for Diane... for all the encouragement she gave me in my creative pursuits in designing and illustrating for her store and for the wonderful friendship that we share... a bond that goes well beyond crafting, so I'm grateful for that!
Some of you may know that I just recently started illustrating my own line of digi "stamps" and were sold exclusively thru Daydream Designs store. Since it is now closed, and after much consideration, I've decided to open my own store to sell my digi stamps & papers as well as my daughter's line of digis, "Carly's Cuties." I hope you'll stop by soon - www.imaginethatdigistamp.com! (badges in my sidebar--->)
I've got quite a few more digi paper packs to re-watermark and I'll be adding those as I have time. In addition, we're going to start a Progressive FREEBIE challenge (bi-weekly) on our store blog, imaginethatdigistamp.blogspot.com starting this Friday, so keep an eye out for that! :)
And lastly, I wanted to share some pics of my birthday yesterday! I turned the big 4-0. It was very sweet. My 2 girls had off school Monday & Tues. this week, so Monday, I took the day off work and we went to "big town" to see a movie which we loved!! Have you seen Les Miserables yet?? Oh, the actors were sooo good in this movie! I had no idea beforehand that it was a musical. There were a couple parts I would've left out, but for the most part, and maybe because I loved seeing Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried in it, we loved it! Then yesterday, while I was at work in the a.m., my youngest daughter, Maddy (12) made me a birthday cake.....a HUGE birthday cake!! Very sweet!!
She went a li'l crazy.... this cake was 4 layers and she even left off the top 2 layers because the cake lid would not fit over it all, lol. So we froze those layers for much later. I think it might take us a good week to finish off this monstrosity, but it sure was YUMMY and lovely! Thank you sweetie ♥
And when we all got to the restaurant for dinner, there was a bouqet of flowers for me on our reserved table ~ my hubby had taken them there at lunchtime so they'd be there when we walked in. Awwwww!!! Best hubby ever!! My mom came over that afternoon and brought me a card, box of chocolates and a li'l sumpthin' from her trip in Hawaii. Sister, Kathy sent me a cute card (made with my Hot Air Balloon set) and a Scentsy wickless candle heater dealy and yummy smelling wax for it. In the background you can also see a couple cards made by Juble (Julie) and Kat9 (kathy) from Splitcoast Stampers birthday RAK group.
And last but certainly not least... I received this most amazing card from my lovely friend, and owner of Daydream Designs, Diane Noble. Take a look at the very personalized pages. WOW... what a work of ♥heART♥ Thank you sweet friends and family!!
