Valentine Blog Hop with SSIC and WAW

Welcome!!  You’ve arrived at Kristine’s stop on our Valentine Blog Hop where it’s “All about love—God’s love!”

If you haven’t started at the beginning, I invite you to do so at  Word Art Wednesday!!   There is a complete hop order listed there as well as all the details – I will tell you this, there’s a fabulous GRAND PRIZE to be won and several designers are giving away li’l blog candies on their own blogs, so be sure to comment on all your stops along the way!!

Cassandra provided our designers with this word art in which John quotes Jesus words, "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; now remain in My love.”   John 15:9

I created my card with these hands forming a heart (by Heart & Soul Rubber Stamp Co.) because they remind me of Jesus holding my heart in His hands.  I gave my heart to Jesus as a young child.  Although I've had times where I strayed away, I never left the hands of Jesus.  "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand."  John 10:28  There's nothing more comforting than knowing that He's capable of handling something so vulnerable as a heart, and knowing  we can trust Him to protect it, nurture it, hold, comfort and mend it when it’s broken, and even fill it with joy.  There’s nothing so great as the Father’s love for His children.  No matter what we do, there’s nothing so bad that He can’t forgive… He’s already paid the price on the cross.  Jesus loved us THAT much.  I hope this blog hop has touched your heart and that you felt God’s love for you in the words shared and art created.

I’d like to help “spread the love” even more by giving away a beautiful paper pad over on the SSIC blog, which is your next stop!  Hop on over and thanks so much for joining us in this Love Hop ~ I hope you were blessed by it!!

Hi Kristine,

Wowza, your heart fairly pops off the page with the shading you used. This makes a powerful statement. I am in awe of the artistry I've seen along today's "hop" Its a reminder of how the Lord has blessed each and every one of us with our own individual gifts and talents.

I'm praying for each of us as I visit every blog hop post and for our visitors as well. Have a blessed day!

Oh my! This is awesome! As I approach the end of this blog hop, I am in awe of all the talent displayed. Each card is so different from the previous one, and all are beautiful. Yours especially is wonderful! Red, and black and white is such a striking color combination. The cross, the heart border, and the BIG central heart image all come together in a fabulous work of art. VERY well done!

Wow, Kristine! It seems we've saved the "best" for almost last! I don't mean to "dis" the other participants, but I think yours is my favourite. The funny thing is, I didn't "see" the hands until I read your post and really looked for them -- to me the image was just a really cool heart. Maybe it's just the way my brain is working today, though. Anyway -- I think your card is beautiful! Thank you for participating in the blog hop.

Kristine this is just stunning! I have always loved this image and you certainly have showcased it to perfection, and it is the perfect compliment to the verse!!! Love the color combo... the red of Christ's blood, the black of our sin, and the white how He cleanses us with His blood! Perfection I'd say!!!

Hi Kris~

I just am crazy about this card. I just love how apparent His hands are! They symbolize so much. "Your name is inscribed in His hand" is could be another meaning in this card. His hands are mentioned so many times in the Bible. I love the thought you put into this card. I love the colors you chose so vibrant. And, the heart trim is just beautiful! I love the cross charm hanging from the twine. And, I love how the hands and the Scripture have the kraft paper behind them. It gives a beautiful touch. This is just amazing! Thank you for sharing it.
