D2D - Mother's Day Blog Hop

We’re celebrating Mother’s Day with a fun Blog Hop at Designed 2 Delight!!  There’s lots of prizes involved, so be sure to START HERE and read all the deets.  If you came from Kendra’s Blog, you are in the right place!!  Every blog on the hop is giving away a FREE DIGI to one of our blog readers, so be sure to read clear to the end.  *Ü*

I am very blessed to still have both my mom and MIL here… in fact, they both live less than 10 miles from me.  But even if you don’t get to enjoy your mom’s company there must be someone in your life who takes on that role for you?  This blog hop is all about celebrating that special mom figure in your life.
Since I already had a card/project made for “Mom”, I decided to do a “Grandma” project.  I made this cute wall hanging with a sweet poem called Grandma’s Hugs Are Made of Love!  The 2 girls sitting on the daisies resemble my 2 daughters, Carly & Maddy.  I used the Ladybug Kaela digi set for them.  In this set, you get lots of versions including this daisy flower, Kaela with ladybug wings and also without; and Kaela with a smile or w/o.  I machine-sewed the lace behind the orange layer, and sewed the pink layer onto the white chipboard adding the hanger inbetween.

Here are some of my favorite pics of my girls (a few years ago).  Can you see the resemblance to the Kaela girls in my project?
