Our hostess: is the sweet and loveable Randi Barrett
The Scripture: Matthew 2:11, and Matthew 7: 7-11. I encourage you all to click through to our challenge blog to read the whole scripture and Randi's wonderful thoughts about this scripture and what it means for her!
Our Challenge: use gifts or images of giving gifts on our project.
Our Generous Sponsor: is La-La Land Crafts who is donating not one, but TWO LaLa Stamps that will go to one random player this week!! As you know by now I've had the pleasure of Guest Designing for LaLa Land Crafts for Nov. and Dec. and Irina is so sweet and giving. I'm so blessed to get to work with her! Thank you so much Irina!! For my card, I used Sitting LaLa and created wrapped pressies to sit her on. ☺
And now, I'd like to share what else I've brought to the virtual birthday party... dinner and music ♫ I thought it would be fun to serenade Lisa with music from her past! Below is a fun video of her childhood icon, Donny Osmond (na, this won't date you at all Lis!) LOL! Turn your volume up and enjoy these pictures to the song "Puppy Love"
And after a little entertainment from Donny, I've prepared a yummy Lasagna for dinner. Italian happens to also be my favorite kind of food as well and this looks scrumptious right about now! Dig in!
I hope you'll join the fun by hopping along!!
Your NEXT stop is LAURIE GATTON.

For her card, I used a newly released set, "Merci Bouqet" from Layers of Color, along with these coffee pearls from McMahon Five Designs. The paper I'm not sure where I got? I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Stazon and colored with colored pencils. I also added some touches of clear sparkly gellyroll pen for pretty highlighting.
And I made another one of these Victorian Rose collector ornaments and sent to Lisa for her birthday. She's just recieved it so I am not spoiling the surprise! LOL.
**Note: I did not come up with the design for the ornament, I buy these in kits that come with the satin ball and a package of beads, pins and silk roses and I follow the instructions and diagrams to put it all together.
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Lisa!!
Hope you have a wonderful birthday weekend!!

3 patterned papers, 2 colors of cardstock (1 can be a neutral), and 1 type of embellishment.
I used Santa LaLa and used this week's Sketch Saturday. My one embellishment is of course buttons as I figured my snowflakes were punched from paper so they aren't really considered a type of one. ?? ;)
I hope you'll join us this week and if you upload to galleries, please use the keyword LLWWC14. Challenge will close at midnight on Sunday night, and one lucky winner will WIN a new rubber stamp! Come on over to the challenge blog to see what it is!
I prolly won't be on here tomorrow, so I wish all my US friends a Happy Thanksgiving Day!! :)

This is "Get Well Paulie" and is a digi image from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. He will be released next week along with 4 sentiments... isn't that fabulous? I don't think I own any get well stamps for kids, so this was perfect to make my daughter feel better. That and the fact that I played a game with her after giving her this card! :) Huge thanks to the sweet and 0h-so-talented Korin for sharing these digis with me!
I used the sketch over at Sweet Stop Sketch for this week. And I just realized I forgot the big flower or other element in top left corner, WOOPS! You can go check out the sketch at the link above.
I'll be back tomorrow with a cute card from La-La Land! :)

This will go to one random player and it could be waiting for you! I know this week will be super busy with the holidays and such, but I do hope you'll take the time to come join us in fellowship and enjoy our DT's inspiration and be uplifted up by the Word of God.
Our hostess this week is my sweet friend HelenPhelps who picked this verse for today's inspired challenge: Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
Her challenge for us is to make a Thanksgiving card, or a card to thank someone.
A thought on this verse... I think we've all been there haven't we? Growing tired of doing good, and sometimes it's harder than other times. It might be easy when what we do is well received and we get praises and thanksgiving, but those times when the good we're doing becomes monotonous and thankless, when friends have seemed to disappear or people you felt safe with suddenly turn on you and snap at you, it's much harder. I've had one of those weeks. Ironic thing is that when it comes to card-making, I don't usually give up... I keep trying until I'm satisfied and would be proud to display it on my blog. But when it comes to difficult people situations, it's easy for me to withdrawl and give up and say, "I don't need this... I think I'm doing what the Lord wants me to do and these people are so hard to work with and it's so frustrating." But the Lord tells us "do not grow weary of doing good, for we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Easier said than done, but with God all things are possible and He gives us the strength for each new day. It's amazing what God is doing through our challenge blog. Bringing scriptures and challenges at just the right time. He knew someone (me this time) needed this verse this week.
On to my card... maybe the personal stuff has affected my creative juices or something because this weekend has not been my most creative. I think whatever mojo I might've had took a flying leap somewhere. I just wasn't happy with anything that I was creating. But even though I made more "throw-aways" than keepers, I did not give up, Lol. So, after I uploaded my first card (below) I went searching for something else I could do... something with an image I could color perhaps... and then I came across this really great site with cute digis called "Sew Many Cards." I downloaded this cute Donkey and Turkey image and love the way this one came out. My kids found a pack of feathers after I colored my image, so they don't match exactly, but I just HAD to use em anyways.
I'm looking forward to thanksgiving with mom and dad this year. I'm thankful for family that lives close by so we can get together for holidays and such. I'm also thankful for all my friends including all of you... my blog friends! Thanks for visiting me every so often and chatting when you do.
Here was my first card. The wreath stamp is by Verve and is prettier than I made it look, LOL - but I'm sure my mom will like it though, so this one's going to her.
I will leave you with a request... a silent prayer request. We all need lifting up in prayer at times and although it seems a little weird at times to ask it for myself or my family, sometimes we just need to ask. So, thank you... in advance. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

This sketch is from this week's Sweet Stop Sketch, which is put on by Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. They have a new sketch challenge every Saturday! I used liquid applique on this cute lamb to make her extra woolly (wooly?) I also used this Bittersweet paper by Basic Grey (from KL Stampin' n' Scrappin).

" Make a Thank You Card or Project"
It's Wonderful Wednesday again... time for another FUN challenge in LaLa Land! This will be such an easy challenge this week that I don't know I could actually call it a "challenge" LOL - we all make Thank You cards don't we? Well, instead of a card this week I decided to challenge myself to make a thanksgiving project. I've made one of these woven baskets before, but it's been quite a while. Here's my previous post with link to a tutorial. (never mind my Halloweeny colors... I prefer to think of them as HARVEST colors and I plan on putting this on the side table for Thanksgiving this year for all to enjoy!)
OOO... there's BLOG CANDY at La La Land Crafts this week!! Look at this fabulous array of stampy goodness that could be yours!! Just come on over and enter this week's challenge! Remember, you don't have to use LaLa Land stamps, (but if you have them, we'd like to see em!)
This stamp is called Pumpkin LaLa... and is one of my faves. Isn't she cute? OOOH, I just remembered I was suppose to make some thank you cards for the volunteers at church who put on our Harvest Party! ... I better get on that! Wheeee! I think my head is still spinning a bit from all the festivities going on this last weekend here in blogland! Well, if I'm productive these next few days I'll have some TY cards to show you by the end of this week! LOL
So come on over and show us some Thank You cards or other projects and enter to win this gift package!! Contest closes Sunday night!

She's now carrying several other cute BG stamp sets as well at a really great price! Thanks so much Kelly!! This will be lots of fun for birthday cards.
You can see in my close up picture (below) that I added liquid applique to the white frosting, and I paper pieced all the cup liners in the Nook and Pantry paper as well.

Peggysue is our hostess this week and has chosen this scripture: "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." 1 Corinthians 13:12 (KJV)
Our challenge is to create a shadow box card! Peggysue says, "No more shadows, no more dim reflections when we get to heaven!" (Here's a link to a tutorial on SCS for a shadow box card. And here's Laura's tutorial for an alternate style of shadowbox card you might like.)
Our sponsor this week is Layers of Color!! Perfect timing as they are having a New Release stamps party all weekend and has very graciously donated this beautiful set, "Butterfly Collection" for one random player in our challenge!
I (once again) used my favorite Hickory strips (McMahon Five Designs) to make a window frame. The larger butterfly is 2-toned with rust and ruby red and stamped on designer paper. I folded the side flaps in and taped together and hid the seem with some wide celery satin ribbon and tied on top. It also helps hold the "valance" on.
For the butterflies on this next one, I stamped them in versamark on white cardstock and sponged chalks on (Poppin' Pastels technique). This verse is a "Plain Jane" by Verve Stamps. And yes, I have a 3rd one too! LOL - call me ambitious... that's me! I am not quite finished with this one... it still needs a sentiment on the front. That's where I got stumped. I hate to cover up the pretty paper, but it feels incomplete to me, so I'll think about it some more. Any ideas? :)

I decided to make this shadow box card with this cute li'l gardener girl. The sentiment on the front says "Let us be grateful to people who make us happy--they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. - Marsel Proust" I am thankful for all my blog friends who visit and choose to connect with me through comments left, for if it were not for these wonderful words of encouragement, many friendships would not have been made. Thank you for your friendship!
The next stop on this blog hop is: Pamela Young
I also will be giving away a little prize of my own, drawn randomly from comments left on my blog hop post here. Winner will be announced at the end of the hop Sunday night. Thank You!
This is called an "easel card" and I have no idea what kind of tutorial there might be out there because I didn't use one. I've been seeing these cards all over lately, and when you see the side of the card, you can pretty much figure out that you score your card front in half and then on the outside top of card, add tape to just the half that's closest to the opening of the card. Then add your seperate, decorated piece. I'm guessing that's how they did it?! LOL - of course you need something bulky to hold the "easel" in place after it's open, so I used buttons.
Tomorrow morning starts a fun Blog Hop, so I hope you'll join in on the fun for more fabulous prizes!!
Tomorrow is also my day to host the KLSNS blog, so you can find me here and there... a little bit of everywhere this weekend! Hope to see ya 'round! :)

It's time for a fun LaLa Weekly Wednesday Challenge!! This week our hostess is Kathy and she wants us to use our Die Cuts and Punches!! You can use any stamps you want, but if you have La-Las, why not show them some love! You will have til Sunday night to enter to win this Building Snowman Maya stamp that I've used here!!
I decided to make a SNOW GLOBE! Well, a card that looks like one anyway! =) This was so fun to make. I saw this tutorial over at SCS. I had to adjust my measurements since this image was too large for the measurements given. (I believe I cut my circle 4.5" in diameter and they called for a 3.75") Aren't these some of the CUTEST winter stamps?!! Here's a sideview so you can see how I did the inside. It says, "There's no friend like a SNOW friend" which I printed from my computer.
Come on over to La-La Land Crafts blog to see more inspiration by the awesome Design Team and Guest Designers!!
See ya in La-La Land!!
