New Fold: Diagonal Trifold

I checked out the card challenge on SCS. Monday's are for Technique Lovers (I think I might qualify).

This cute little card measures 4" square when closed, and 4x12" open. I made mine a little larger than the instructions. You can find a complete tutorial here. This picture is bad. It was too dark in my room to not use the flash, so it's kinda glaring and loses the green colors in the paper. I got this paper and sunflower at my local scrapping store. The only part that is stamped is the sentiment inside and the circle "rivet". Here's a picture of the inside. The saying is from "Edgy Eloquence" and the rivet is from the hostess set, "Riveting". It says, "The secret to happiness is to count your blessings, not your birthdays." Love that!!

i was so shocked when i listened to the news this afternoon on my way to work. i really don't know how someone can take a life of someone else. it's really scary.

love the card, very summery and bright.

Beautiful card! The flower really gives it "that extra something".
& yes, I agree about the tragedy, and it's really awful how the media feeds off things like this.

Your card is so cute! I love the dp and that button with the ribbon in the center. I'm glad I checked your blog since I missed this one in the gallery. Stamping is a good escape from this scary world we live in isn't it?

hi kristine! i didn't even know about the tragedy until late last night (don't watch a whole lot of tv). my prayers are certainly with the families. i will get some cards out to that radio station today. onto the trifold. it is on my list of things to do today!! i just love it and have never done one!! i also love your amy rohla card. she is super sweet and we have been talking a bunch. i just cased her a little too early i guess with my anniversary card. maybe i will just have to do another one of her creations!!

Hi Kristine,
I love the new look of the blog! This card is so pretty. I will have to try this one. I always get stuck doing the same old thing. Thank you for the idea.
I think that is a great way to do something in light of yesterdays tragedy. I still can't believe it. Our neighbors have two sons at the college. I can't imagine the terror they must have felt upon hearing the news. Especially since it was well after 11 am until they were able to reach both sons. The phone lines were jammed!
GOD bless those dear students and all the families!

I am afraid to turn on the news anymore-from little Kayla here in Michigan to the schoolhouse full of Amish children to the restaurant in Bagdad. Why is there so much hate?

Thank you for the bit of sunshine of your card-I hope tomorrow will be better for all of us.

Your card is awesome. I just love those big flowers. I have yet to use one on any of my cards, but I need to.

Also, thanks for your comment on my blog about the Happy Hoppers. I just love those little guys. I have more colored, I just need to make them in to cards.

Thanks for stopping by to view my stuff.
