I came across the Google Reader that I heard from several bloggers out there and I signed up about a week ago. I'm LOVING it!! It allows you to enter people's blog addresses and it will tell you immediately when someone makes a new post. It's all in one place, and I just put the link to that in an email to myself and keep it in my "inbox" so I can click on it anytime.
However...some people are offering blog candy to those who subscribe to their blog using the Feedblitz or Feedburner, or at least they get an extra entry for doing so. I'm just wondering what the motive for that is?? Is it so you can keep track of who's subscribing to you?? Does it really matter that much to see an actual number, whereas if someone has you in their Google Reader, you wouldn't know it unless they leave a comment??
I'm not knocking it...I'm just curious! Speaking of comments, I kinda assumed that I had just a few readers out there, based on comments left or emails that I've recieved (an average of what? about 2-5 comments--and BTW, THANKS to those commentors out there--love hearing from you guys!!) But looking at my Feedblitz subscriptions, I currently have 89 subscribers!! Some of whom I've never seen or heard from. Does it take Blog Candy that everyone's doing to get people to leave comments?? (Am I that desperate for stamper's interaction??--Maybe)
Just wondering, should I offer blog candy, and if so, how many of you would comment to get it? Hmmmm....that's a good one. :o) heehee. Maybe I'll let this post decide for me. (I know, I'm sneeky) *hint, hint* :o)
